US Sets $500 Million for Taiwan Arms on Ukraine-Style Fast Track - Bloomberg

Sale marks first time US has used the authority for Taiwan
Pentagon and White House declined to comment on Friday

The Biden administration is pulling together a $500 million weapons package for Taiwan, using for the first time a fast-track authority that it has relied on to speed arms to Ukraine, people familiar with the matter said.

The package will involve sending existing stockpiles of US weapons or support equipment to Taiwan under what’s known as a Presidential Drawdown Authority, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private deliberations. The equipment to be in the package wasn’t immediately known.

You totally don't get it. For generations Chinese immigrants have pursued a better future for themselves or their descendants through migration. There is nothing wrong with this. Up until the last decade or so, I would say most of them make a sound decision.

However, it doesn't mean they should blindly think their adopted countries want and accept them. For decades, Chinese Americans abandoned their heritage and language and embrace Christian but Chinese Americans still are most discriminated group. In addition, what happened to those SEA nations Chinese immigrants should have proven that money and wealth and laws mean nothing when guns and army are in the hands of other groups. Remember hundreds of thousands Chinese that were forced to flee and equal number of Chinese that got massacred.

More importantly, why you think other minorities would support Chinese Americans in the fight against racism. Most recent racist attacks are done by Latinos and African Americans because of MSM's propaganda. Remember Chinese Exclusive Act, who had spoken up for Chinese and to this day did any Chinese got compensated for this bizarre discrimination.

If the MSM declared war against Chinese, you can bet Latinos, Blacks and other Asian Americans and even many Chinese Americans would jointly attack Chinese. It is totally naive to think you can join up with other minorities. Chinese are on their own as we can see nobody speaks up for Chinese as Florida's bill shows us.

He was just being extremely sarcastic about your opinion on Americans being unreasonable. From his point of view, the Americans from the beginning never accepted Chinese immigrants and only wanted them for their money. In short, their actions were based on greed and racism, not unreasonableness and stupidity.

I believe he was just expressing frustration.
And theres no such thing as a model minority. Anglo American elites simply promote the females, homosexuals and slavish of non white groups. Loud Austin and Kiron Skinner and Barack Obama are servants of white supremacy. Anglo America are simply masters at finding and cultivating La Malinches as there were Chinese compradors back in the 19th-20th c. Assisting the Europeans in pushing opium into the Chinese.

You know how people talk about revolving doors, that when officials do something for a private company they get rewarded with a job in that company.
Col Macgregor says Mizintsev was fired not only because he was doing a poor job recently but also because he was illegaly sending some military equipment (more specificaly engines) , if he was sending that equipment to Wagner then that would explain alot.

Macgregor says Prigozhen has political ambitions in Moscow and hopes that at some point he would nominate himself for president, that may be why he likes to film himself alot to gain popular support for his political carrier. That could be the reason why Wagner was reportedly cut off from all supplies by the ministery of defence, it's possible that the higher ups in Moscow (possibly Putin himself) want to take Prigozhin and Wagner out of the picture.

Dont think this matches up with what (admittedly little) we know about Prigozhin. He's supposedly Putin's close ally, it would also not make sense he can have such a large army without Putin's approval.

Rather, maybe Prigozhin is being used by Putin to sideline other parts of the military such as Shoigu.

You should bear in mind that Prigozhin has no need whatsoever to communicate something as an open letter. Whatever he says is carefully decided to create a desired effect among outsiders.

Either way, the war is a good case study on why capitalist societies tend to fight bad once the fights get more difficult.

Prigozhin is an oligarch larping as a natsec elite who is being given monstrous amounts of free press by western msm because his antics generate clicks. He's really quite similar to Trump in that way.
He does have a reason to communicate things as an open letter, and that is because he is very much a small time player who would normally not be given a high priority for supplies and is mainly dependant on his presence in the information space to maintain Wagner's presence in the minds of actually powerful people like Shoigu and Patrushev. It's important not to take the public-facing image of men like him at face value.
