The best way is ignoring NATO's bureaucracy. That organisation has no real power and mostly functions as US mouthpiece. I am sick of EU officials like UVDL and NATO officials like Stoltenberg styling themselves as presidents. They are not. They are managers. Especially Stoltenberg is a glorified liaison personnel.
What US doing here is trying to lock European populace into a position by opening a NATO office in Japan as if NATO has any say over member countries. It has none. It is political engineering project that shouldn't be fed by drawing attention to it.

Not gonna happen. No one wants to enter into coalition with AfD. Perhaps they can take one of the states in Eastern Germany but even that seems like a stretch.
