I think the China's plan is to wait for PH to sign on to the South China Sea code of conduct this year. If PH doesn't sign it then we will know what Marco Jr's words are worth and we'll see more escalations from China.
Marcos made his intentions clear with giving new bases to the US. When someone tells you who they are, you better believe them

Because India doesn’t need it. China is buying cheaper energy to use it domestically as the economy recovers and demand rises. The Indians don’t need to feed an industrial behemoth anyway.
India is adding 4m autos, upto 12m two wheelers and over half a million trucks every year. than add airline flight increase for large diaspora. In consumption India economy is large despite among top gold importers.

New Taiwan poll for the upcoming elections.
KMT slightly leading, basically neck to neck race. Seems to me that DPP has closed its gap with the frontrunners KMT from previous polls
However, based on past experience, the KMT will inevitably weaken its own strength through internal fighting. Then the PLA will also hand over new assists to the DPP. The DPP is a very electable party, and its moral bottom line during elections can never be overestimated.

However, that's not necessarily a bad thing. The DPP does not have the courage to legalize Taiwan's independence, and during its term of office, many Communist Party spies cannot do anything. For example, the "transitional justice" of de-Chiangization, the abolition of nuclear power plants, the abolition of trade in services agreements, and constant provocations to change the status quo of the central line of the Taiwan Strait, etc.

Although the possibility is very low, it has to be suspected that the DPP has an inner ghost of the CCP.
