Kudos to China if true!
I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be true when China is replacing all the stuff the West use to sell. The article is just malding that China isn’t imposing a full scale export blockade on Russia, which ironically the G7 own version failed to materialized.
5 trillion GDP today is not worth the same as 5 trillion 15 years ago. You have to consider inflation.

The wealth gap between the rich and everybody else is significantly worse in India than in China, and this data only goes to the start of the Modi premiership and his so-called 'pro-business' and pro-'national' policy. If the economic growth is so heavily concentrated, the bulk of profits will go towards consumption in foreign countries when the richest park most of their net worth there, while the working class cannot afford to purchase basic articles.
