Pauline Hanson. If Australia is full of people like her, god help them.

This is a quote from her Facebook page:

In her Facebook video, Ms Hanson said it “absolutely disgusts me”. “This is why I am so anti-China – they are a country that says they want to grow to a stage where they will control and that’s exactly what they’re doing,” she said.

Any coloured people disgust her. She is so anti-China because she is a plain racist. Pure and simple.

This abominable creature had support from former Australian PM Tony Abbott in publishing her book. A former Prime Minister.

The entire nation is horrid.

Looks like Australia is sacrificing itself for Anglo white supremacism; China should start targeting australian iron ore-especially since Australia thinks with Vale cutting production, that China won't ban iron ore.

I think China's ready if Australia bans iron ore. They would have considered this possibility. As another member pointed out, banning iron ore would hurt Australia even more. While Australia is the #1 producer of iron ore, China is a significant player too. If Australia restricts sales of iron ore to China, global iron ore prices would shoot up. Mining Chinese iron would become more economically feasible. Also, Guinea is going to come online with its iron ore deposits in a few years' time.

"Guinea has the largest untapped iron ore reserves in the world. This ore, of outstanding quality, often has an iron content greater than 65%. Simandou (in Guinea) is considered the finest iron ore prospect in the world – Financial Times, November 2015"

I don't think either China or Australia is going to restrict the sales of iron ore. That is the nuclear option in China-Australia relations. Iron ore is the most valuable commodity between the two.

Is the belt and road agreement with Victoria all that important andf there is always the possibility Morrison will cancel the Port Darwin llease.
Meanwhile the Biden has come out in support of Morrison.

This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Of course hostility will breed more hostility. Nationalistic bashing of Australia may feel good, but it will harden its stance and result in policy that is bad for China. China's goal should be to get other countries' policies to align with its interest, not short-term feel good nationalist cheerleading
I think this is your best comment yet!

It is a self-fulfilling prophecy for what is happening to Australia. Australia took actions, first may I add, was warned verbally but ignored verbal warning from China. Then when on a Nationalistic bashing of China by both their media and government officials (for government officials it was both at an official capacity and in their own private capacity), often defended it all as free speech and just cause, this will become important later I promise. Which then caused China to harden it stance and resulted in policy that was bad for Australia. Australia’s goal should have been to get THEIR BIGGEST TRADING PARTNER’s policy to align with their interests not short term cheerleading with an ‘ally’ across The Pacific who may or may not care about Australia’s fate.

Then Australia offers an official statement saying we are willing to work things out but what we have said and done before are all just and completely fine tho, as an ‘olive branch’, basically a governmental version of giving China the finger and sucker punching China whilst saying ‘sorry not sorry’! A government official of China then in their private capacity not officially posted a CG, the CG part is very important, image created by a PRIVATE citizen. And Australia in their great hypocrisy said that such free speech is wrong!

So yea @gadgetcool5 you are completely correct it is self-fulfilling prophecy created by the Australia! I suggest @gadgetcool5 you should swap China and Australia position in the whole saga of event and then reexamine your own objectivity.

China didn't even ban coal, gas, education, and tourism yet. Iron ore would be the last on the list to be banned. Brazil iron ore production would take a few years to ramp up. African high quality iron ore mines require substantial investment in the logistic and infrastructure before making a difference. Banning iron ore now wouldn't do China any good. Just go through other items on the list first, Australia coal export to China is worth 17 Billion, gas export worth another 14 billion, education and tourism is another 17 billion. If Australia decided to ban exports of iron ore, then China would have no choice but to ramp up domestic production but at the moment banning Australia iron ore is just self-inflicted wound.
