Yawn. What's up with that alarmism?

This is war, if the West is superior then its entirely in their "right" (right is might) to sanction China. If they aren't strong enough, then they won't sanction it.

No need for moralising and closely examining their excuses. The only thing that matters is power. As our favourite Mr. Borrel said, this is a jungle
Really though. The EU's sanction threats are empty threats. We could do it but it wouldn't go well for us. The continent already has its economic prospects ruined since the last year. Losing our only rapidly growing large export market and inflation sink would ruin us. Because both India and the USA are anti-trade nations with many barriers.

The neodunces have finally convinced themselves that Huawei has imploded. Just like Russia economy.
The politicians in the US thought they won because they had disrupted Huaiwei's mobile phone business. However, the industrial application of 5G technologies is far more important.
Developed market telecom companies think of 5G mobile broadband as a consumer technology and worry that their market is close to saturation. China’s flagship digital infrastructure company, Huawei, thinks of 5G as an industrial technology and believes that the new digital economy is soon set to launch.
...
Huawei officials said they expected the company’s auto business alone to exceed the 2021 peak revenues of its handset business. They also anticipate substantial revenues from its green energy division, which uses AI-enabled solar cells to enhance energy conversion.

I wonder the extent of contributions of Chinese-Americans made to America's medals.

MSNBC attempts to cope with the fact that China is too big to sanction:

This is what I find amazing about the American media and their China reporting.

Too often, their reports just read like f.a.q. kind of handout.

That is really odd, because it has been like China! China, China, Chyna, in the American news the last few years.

And they do not know the most basic stuff. Every time we see another China f.a.q. on the news, people react with surprise or some interest like they never of it before.

That I do not believe. They are wittingly or unwittingly spreading anti-Huawei propaganda, because the US government is still at war with Huawei 5G. Seems to me that is just the American playbook of war, which is always demonize the enemy, and make it look like you're winning. That is the propaganda.

That is rather unusual in this case, to keep harping on the phones.

It's only the phones. China probably still produces 70%-80% of the world's cell phones. But since Huawei is not selling much phones, that is a big win!

Somehow, I do not believe the Americans actually believe anything they say, pertaining to Huawei 5G and the tech war. That propaganda is just America at war, and that is the play from the playbook.

The coach, or deep state, calls the plays, and if someone does not follow the play called, they get benched.

That is kind of like American culture. Even behind a few touchdowns, it is always still in the huddle, one play at a time. The propaganda against Huawei will continue until the game is over.

bro the reason why the Chinese will won any conflict with the US, through trade war, tech war and even an actual kinetic war. The reason as you stated is the Chinese studied the US every move and learn to digest it, while the American thru Hubris is dismissive of Chinese ability until shit hit them in their face.

But bro the longer it takes the more embarrassing for the US? 4 years of sanction Huawei not only survived BUT thriving, the narratives and its optics isn't right , you know the American had adopted and become a true believer in saving face. ;)

you have already seen that Nord stream reports that is used to undermine confidence in German government. than that Air france KLM complaining about unfair advantage of Chinese air carriers, now this report of weapon sales coming out when Scholz is visiting Washington. These are internal forces that will keep building pressure against German policy of sanctioning Russia and not China. what is Israel and UAE telling Germany where it should concentrate. German wealth and industrial strength that enable it to took control of Europa in large part is due to China. Germany will have to give up a lot if it continue this path.
mass importation of Indians to work in Germany as Russia destroys software industry of Ukraine and consume more east Europeans in this conflict by prolonging it. Just look at India-Germany flights compared to India-Japan flights. Germany has cold feet about ICE engine ban dates which the new Italian government was already against it. so Germany do yield to pressure.

Maybe they blew the budget on the slum concealment walls.

When I was a child, I used to read Western memoirs recalling diplomatic visits, in which India would hang giant white sheets on the roadsides to hide slums. This was in the '60s or even the '90s.

Those same books told me that India's economy was booming and that it was going to rival China. I naturally assumed that soon, India would no longer need to do these things when foreign leaders visited. Because, as India became the next China, the slums would gradually disappear. It would become a thing of the distant past.

I'm now an adult, it's decades later, and that apparently did not happen. The massive slums are still there, it seems. It's very sad.
