New kind of copium: "Now Putin has no nukes! So we can safely nuke Russia and nothing can ever happen to us! Definitely!"

Clickbait is getting ridiculous nowadays.

American regime is split into two camps right now: the anti-Russia camp and the anti-China camp. Whether you're Democrat or Republican doesn't matter, both parties have each. They both don't like Russia and China, but have differing opinions on which is the bigger evil.
Well, this is what happens if your foreign policy team depends on instigating conflicts to get rich.

War is Peace.
Ignorance is Strength.

So Trudeau backs protests in China, while freezes assets of protestors in Canada. The hypocrisy stinks to high heaven.

If you can't compete with them, just smear them? The Western way?

The United States continues to lead the world in contributions to Ukraine with nearly $200 billion in promised or sent aid, as the U.S. ally continues its fight

According to the Ukrainian government, the U.S. leads all countries with $196 billion in total military, financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine between Jan. 24, 2022 through Nov. 20, 2022. Germany has sent the second-most funds, with $172 billion sent in that span.

In that same span, the rest of the world has contributed less than $75 billion of total aid, with most of that sum coming from the

($28.2 billion), Poland ($24.3 billion), and Estonia ($5.48 billion).

These figures do not include loans sent to Ukraine or additional contributions that were approved by their respective governments between Dec. 2022 and Feb. 2023.
LOL at the UK being one of the biggest warmongers but barely contributing more than Poland....

In the economic and trade front, unless the G7 and like minded allies all agree to free movement of labour, a common currency, and concerted monetary policies, any NATO like alliance will be useless. As each member country has to face local requirements and political constraints that would not be compatible with other members without the required economic grand union, which we all know will never happen.

This lady is really clueless.

Rather than own goal, it is likely just the plotting of Putin in conjunction with his benefactors in China.

There are many signs that US didn't plan jack shit regarding actual kinetic war in Ukraine and that they've been ad libbing it since day 1. They tried to discourage Russia for several weeks by flooding state controlled outlets with "leaks" of Russian attack once they realized it was inevitable, in the hopes that Russia would change course after thinking US had them all figured out in advance. US forces were not ready to provide strong military supply to Ukraine that could prevent the Donbass and the land bridge from being lost, despite a small initial Russian wave.

The purge against Russian capitalists also showed shocking shortsightedness or perhaps frustration. Russian capitalists have always been America's greatest ally inside China's bloc and the most detrimental faction towards Russian freedom, not to mention the long term aftershocks on the oil markets due to non-respect for private property, something all the sheiks deeply care about. These sanctions hurt US control and potential in exchange for momentary domestic frustration relief, which is never a good recipe.

America's plan was always to gradually take Ukraine into NATO after the Euromaidan coup, eventually culminating in armed reunification of the Donbass under the auspices of NATO, using Minsk 2 to buy time until Ukraine gained the capability. This would then open up the route to Crimea at a later date. US essentially thought that Europe can be put on the back burner and they can slowly work their way to "cleansing" the Donbass using Ukrainian proxies.

As with any plan, the enemy always gets a vote and Russia struck preemptively.

It is not in anyone's interest to have more nuclear powers. NK could only get theirs because they're a dependency. Iran isn't.

China should give them conventional weapons and discourage nuclear acquisition.

US justifying an operation on Iran is playing China's hands. Another Vietnam where communist aid can keep America pinned down and demilitarize them.

Would US survive another general draft? That is probably what will be needed for Iran war.

I don't think the US would win the land war against Iran, no way ..... Iran's geography is very hard and mountainous mostly

Yes the US would dominate the air and sea and thats about it. But helicopter will be in real danger, Iran produce many SAM (like Stinger)

Imagine what the oil price would be ?

Look's like Xi's upcoming peace proposal is serious, maybe thats why Blinken is so upset.
What are the chances this actually goes through, if China is serious about it?

If they can make any kind of significant progress, or at least make sure all future negotiations are done with their facilitation, it'd be a huge PR win for China. It should help break the mold of that Russia-China axis of evil narrative the US is trying to shoehorn them into. Not to convince the die hard atlanticists, but to give the swing states like Germany and Global South countries a high-profile excuse to justify their dealings with China, the reasonable "anti-war autocrat" that can be cooperated with. Western politicians are criminals at heart, give them the good cop China bad cop Russia routine.

I think the Ukraine war will end in Korean-style stalemate for long time, neither side will agree on ceasefire or peace treaty or unequal treaty...

but China offering a peace proposal and independent intermediary is a huge propaganda victory. Slaps the face of US who has been pushing to sideline and isolate China... the Europe would see China as an intermediary to Russia and diplomatic counterweight to US.

One risk for China doing that is that the US might actually allow peace to happen and take the opportunity to cut loss and refocus on China.

Indeed, China's very presence offers a way out for Europeans to at least be neutral and not forced into becoming unwilling parties to a Ukrainian War, not of their own choosing.

No matter what the US does here on out, they'll be weaker for it. China offering even a path out of ruination and enslavement to the Anglos means NATO will be a divided house even if the US wants Pacific War 2.0, hence why the USG is leaning heavily on racial caricature and Appeals to Racism to get the Europeans on board for a war against China.
