Filipinos wanna blame China for their expensive onions? So what is the solution then? Import onions from India or the US instead? Like that'll help.

According to ChatGPT, based on the description of event he believes it must be a nuclear attack by US itself rather than a chemical spill or Chinese nuclear attack(wut?).

They should definitely not give ChatGPT the nuke codes. Although come to think of it dropping a nuclear bomb on the site of the accident would actually get rid of all that vinyl chlorid without creating dioxin by instantly heating the whole mass to over the 800 degrees required. If you don't want to spare one from your own stockpile I'm sure the Russians can oblige you with one of theirs.

BIG DIFFERENCE, Duterte produced results while Marcos produces projection. Duterte is dealing a serious threat that need a strong approach to save the Republic from becoming a Narco State, while Marcos is having trouble cooking due to Onion shortage.:(

Yeah brother, from what I can tell by looking at Marcos Jr from far away, he thinks he is a Western politician, and going rule like some wannabe-white-Liberal.

That is not going to work.

One thing he should do, Marcos Jr should act like a strongman. That is the only way to get things done. To act like a Western-Liberal, who needs 10 environmental reports, before they even start to debate about it, kind of institutionalizes the problem instead of solving it.

Acting like a strongman, would allow him a chance to control events. Right now, the events control him. This onion crisis seems too much for Macros Jr to handle.

That is the last thing the Philippines need, and that is a weak leader.

A repeat of the recent Blinken fake trip. US leaks rumors of a meeting when China has not agreed to anything. US then denies its own rumor and says it is China who is "scrambling to do damage control”.

Confused as to what the purpose of this could be. Perhaps they are trying to recover some resemblance of sanity after the balloon hysteria, and pin the breakdown in diplomatic relations on China instead of their own failings?

Indicates change in Biden's foreign policy, or will they double down on posturing?

Why even ask? Of course its to double down. Watch their actions, not their mouth

Pentagon’s top China official visits Taiwan

Rare trip to island is only second in four decades by high-level US defence official
The Pentagon’s top China official has arrived in Taiwan, in a rare visit to the island by a senior US policymaker that comes as relations between Washington and Beijing are mired in crisis over a suspected Chinese spy balloon shot down two weeks ago.

Michael Chase, deputy assistant secretary of defence for China, has arrived in Taiwan, according to one of four people who said he would travel to the country. He was previously in Mongolia, according to two of the people familiar with the trip
The visit comes at a sensitive moment in relations between Washington and Beijing. US secretary of state Antony Blinken is trying to meet Wang Yi, the top Chinese foreign policy official, at the Munich security conference this weekend
Blatant provocation. If there is a Wang Yi - Blinken meeting, it will be useless
