This is what people mean by crumbling infrastructure. I am myself getting the seriousness of the problem just now.
Most likely sabotage at this point. Too many derailments as of lately.
Sabotage is IMO the main reason why they keep things quiet in Ohio.
I'm sure horse's post was a piss take...
1000 derailments a year though. Is it so far fetched?
Most of the time it's just stuff like food or furniture or electronics so it only makes the state headline. Then stuff like this happens...

I don't think so. It seems the US railways are really in an unacceptable state. Though this is kind of expected. These guys called Chinese railway development a political project and belt and road neocolonialism with a straight face. It seems they are allergic to infrastructure investment
Crumbling infrastructure in US is very real, just try and search up bridge collapses or highways in need of repair.
