There has to be some negative consequence they see if they ban TikTok hence they would rather buy it. China should not allow it to be sold because the geopolitical consequences for the US should play out. Selling it does nothing except serve all of the US's interest and none of China's.

Hmm long term planning at work here, to be honest, the moment they said they would have those nuclear subs to Australia by 2050 should be a red herring to say that such a thing is literally impossible given how hollowed out the US manufacturing industry truly is. Way before then, the USA would have been torn to pieces by then so the best way to ensure Australias security is simply to have a neutrality contract to ensure that neither side will cause trouble for the other (no more NGOs in China and Australia to influence things to the USAs liking), Chinas sovereignty will be fully respect (so no more of this Taiwan bullshit because really, everyone should know to lay off that and the USA will sooner or later get his for not having the brains to respect that basic fact) and thus China can make an agreement with Russia (under the table) for Russia not to waste may missiles hitting Australia with it. This way everyone wins, Australia can have a normal relationship with other Asian neighbors and Australia will not need to act as the US attack dog in the region because no body really wants ways in the region (except those scumbags that are obviously planted in Canberra by the deep state, but their value only is there as long as the USA is still there, of which that future is in doubt). Hence the USA has proven once again to be a really shitty ally to have and how much everyone in Asia and by extension, the world will

Some reasons I've heard: 1. You can remove it from the app store but you can't uninstall it from people's phones. 2. There are ways to force #1 but it crosses a lot of red lines and will show Americans just how far net neutrality and their vaunted freedoms have fallen. 3. Tiktok is stupidly popular. Senators use it for their campaigns and companies use it for their ads. That's a lot of backlash, no career politician is taking that heat.

Seriously, what is wrong with the governance of Pakistan and Sri Lanka?

If this keeps on going, Western and Indian propaganda machines are going to work 24/7 against China and the BRI in the region. This situation isn't going to do any good for China.

Besides, the more countries that defaulted, the more countries that would become slaves of the American imperialist tool i.e. IMF. Sri Lanka is a prime example.

Just an average subcontinent moment. Countries with so much corruption they unironically make USA look like China in comparison.

I think only a socialist revolution, forcibly replacing all the corrupt, sleazy ideas and their champions, will save the subcontinent, including India, from ruin.

Pakistan in theory adheres to Islam. In sharia law, thieves have their hands cut off, and it is not unheard of to see this punishment be applied to shoplifters and robbers in the Islamic world. However, all the collective value of theft carried out by shoplifters or robbers would not hold a candle to the value of the wage theft committed by their elites against the workers, nor that of funds stolen from government budgets that were meant to benefit the people. Perhaps, applying the same punishment to the great thief as what the little thief gets would be the start of an improvement.

Pakistan is claiming $10 billion in reserves.

Which they say $6 billion from commercial banks is also their money. Sounds like they are saying money from the general public is also part of the government reserves.
