TheDuran latest video mentioned that apparently the decree is due to be signed between Tuesday/Thursday next week if I remember. The Russians did say like a week ago that it got delayed. I guess we will find out by next week anyway.
The same was said for this winter too. Europe was going to freeze and starve according to some people. Europe's dependence on Russian commodities is like China's dependence on Taiwanese chips. It doesn't exist. Russian commodities were nice to have but we can function just fine without them. A bit of economic slowdown
The real dangerous effect Russian actions triggered is the West's kneejerk reaction. Isolationist, militarist and racist arguments gained a lot of traction which is, in long term, way worse than any Russian commodity embargo can be. Especially racism towards ethnic Russians is non-excusable.

That's the narrative with every Western country. Buffer its work force and demographics with large swathes of immigrants. But make no effort to integrate them, and instead cynically drum up hate against them to score cheap political points among xenophobes as well as to preserve the racial status quo. Eventually for America, UK, France, etc. scenes like this will be a daily occurence until it spirals out of control.

This faulty analysis. The more Europe consume commodities from Non-Russian sources like North Africa/Mideast/CIS/US. the more these countries standard of living for consumption will go up. Europe was lucky as Putin was spending money on R&D rather giving everything for consumption. Much less will be left for Europa consumption in manufactured products. who do you think Asia will prefer to sell its manufactured goods when given choice between Europa and Non Europa? this can show up in every thing from airline tickets to medicines. with lower standard of living. Europe will lose its attractiveness to attract best and brightest and potentially selloff of foreign investment. it is downfall for Europe.
