Marcos: EU support gives PH, ASEAN 'strong position' to negotiate South China Sea issues
Having the strategic support of the European Union places the ASEAN and the Philippines in a "a very strong position" to negotiate issues as regards the South China Sea.
He said objections to violations of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea would be stronger if raised by a group of nations such as the ASEAN and the EU.
"Every action that might be taken that objects or brings light to a possible violation of the UNCLOS is much stronger when it is brought about by a group of nations such as ASEAN and if the EU, now with our strategic partnership, is able to also join their voices to that, then that will be much stronger in the terms of actually being able to enforce what UNCLOS is all about," Marcos said.
I really thought he would elevated PH china relations tons new level. Guess I was wrong? Is he being driven by deep seated interests ?
Those preppers are not going to be prepared at all because every preper will be facing at least a thousand people trying to get their stuff and some of these people will be armed. The only way to survive in a reasonable manner is GTFO of the USA, have a job lined up outside and pray that the nation they are staying in doesn’t hate Americans because if they do, well then they are also in trouble because when the rise of Russia and China is complete in the future, it will be hell for those that are white Americans due to all the bad blood they have created all over the world and at that point, their will be no incentive to have them sucking up resources like they do rightly now without a care in the world.Like I said before, the US in downward spiral towards fascism. each administration is more hawkish, more pro war, more out of touch with reality than the one before. Think about it, Obama aka "The Change" just out did Bush Jr in the Middle East in the number of interventions apart from starting the military Pivot to Asia that basically pushed China to accelerate the modernization of their military and changed China internal politics. Obama trade policies opened that door to Trump
Even under Trump aka "Orange man", a man the democrats considered unhinge and mentally unstable, at least his chaotic administration tried to give reasons why Huawei and Jinhua was blacklisted, one for Iran and the other was for IP issues. AND EVEN THEN he try to negotiate with Xi in favor of his trade war. he did it with ZTE, something that wouldn't happen in today political climate.
With Biden aka "Brandon" no only he did not negotiate on trade, war, technology and so, he has closed the door for negotiations, his sanctions no only hurts foreign companies but US companies as well, US tech-trade restrictions now make less sense than under Trump, that is a achievement on its own, the current administration is doing more harm to their on allies than with Trump, another achievement, US current industrial policies will hurt their own allies, the tech restrictions is going to hurt them as well, the US insistence on no negotiating with Russia over Ukraine is going the break Europe and he ended the Afghan war BUT this administration has cleared the path toward big power conflict, a real shooting war with nuclear states.
I cannot image what is going to happen when a more hawkish Republican administration takes power.
Now those prepper videos are making more sense,

The EU's support is worthless if the EU cannot become independent of US policy. China would just treat them as the same block in that case - ie not worth negotiating with.
Depends how he will handle the China-Philippines meeting early next year. He is just saying what those eurotards in Brussels want to hear as if they are still relevant.I really thought he would elevated PH china relations tons new level. Guess I was wrong? Is he being driven by deep seated interests ?
Marco is a politician and member of the PH political dynasty that got beheld by special interests. China is smart that it hasn't invested heavily in PH even with a good relationship with Duterte. China should remain focusing on Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, and to some lesser extent Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.I really thought he would elevated PH china relations tons new level. Guess I was wrong? Is he being driven by deep seated interests ?
The question is why you think anyone would willing rollover? Its realpolitik, China shouldn't expect any favours from anyone.I really thought he would elevated PH china relations tons new level. Guess I was wrong? Is he being driven by deep seated interests ?
Wow this is wholesome. Taliban grew from terrorists to anti-terror operators.Good news regarding this incident. 21 injuries, no fatalities, none of the 21 were Chinese national. 19 were locals and 2 were guests of the hotel, they were injured when they tried to escape by jumping out the window.
Taliban government is aware this Chinese hotel is potential terrorist target and posts a 2 man guard at the hotel 24/7. Those Taliban fighters quite like the job because the hotel treats them to free meals and they enjoy the Chinese food. At time of the incident the two guards on duty spotted the terrorists coming in and immediately returned fire. Government reinforcement as well as Chinese security detail from the embassy arrived quickly. Firefight lasted about 1 hour and ended with all three terrorists killed at the scene.
Overall fairly successful anti-terrorist operation by Taliban.
Yes, for example when he boycotted the last Summit of the Americas because Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua got snubbed. The question is why you think anyone would willing rollover? Its realpolitik, China shouldn't expect any favours from anyone.
In any case, all these things don't matter. The only thing that matters is power, pure, raw power. Do you see Mexico talking like that to the US?
