The tragic irony is that literally no other country has anything akin to China's COVID policies and yet their populaces are going about their daily lives.
It's a tragic irony that West blames China doing "too little" at beginning of pandemic, and only 2 years later, now the West is blaming Chinese is doing "too much" this late into the pandemic. What is it? China gets blamed for causing millions of overseas deaths, or China gets blamed for causing inconvenience to millions while saving too many Chinese lives in the process? For anti-China folks like you, logic doesn't matter. Don't be delusion and pretend you even remotely genuinely the welfare of Chinese people, we can see through your act.

In addition, Canada has been hyping up an upcoming so-called Indo-Pacific strategy, which is widely expected to be echoing the US' strategy with the same name that targets China. Canadian officials, in an apparent attempt to attract US investment into its mining sector, have publicly supported the US' push for a so-called economic decoupling from China. It has actually ordered Chinese firms to divest their investments in Canadian companies.
But here is something undisputable. Whatever geopolitical brinkmanship Canadian officials are pulling, it will not work on China. Canadian officials, if they follow the US' economic and trade wars against China, should know this. What's also clear is that with such hostile moves, Canada is playing a dangerous game it cannot afford to lose.
否则这个结果就不好说了

Major
An apt, timely and hugely important alarm for the Chinese government, especially regarding the second point in his first post.

It's time for China to have a societal revolution and deep purge of those deemed malignant and lethal Western elements from China.
Here is what the article says:
  1. Part I, the admission process for non-STEM programs of all elite universities are somewhat corrupt in the world, Peking University and Tsinghua University are no exception.
  2. Part II, the Western privilege over education, because of their control of universities, publications, scholarships, and exchanges etc
  3. Part III, China Studies: suppression of China's scholars and IP theft by U.S.' "China experts", and their gaslighting of the Chinese people (who should be their friends and hero, and what should be their ideology etc)
  4. Part IV, the digital domination by U.S.: including the digitization of Chinese Studies such as Chinese Classics, all information about China (digital news media, social media, search and reference websites etc)
All in all, it seems to underestimate the wisdom of Chinese and is a little bit alarming. Maybe that's the intended purpose.

Hahah. That article is ridiculous and purely speculative. Is that what you use for evidence. Its like squeezing blood from a rock. Written by the AFP no doubt.

This is like saying the US channels cut from Obama to a talking reporter because they didn't want a black guy getting too much air time. Lol

Also the article says hundred protesting in Beijing ? Where ? All I saw was Shanghai and I'd be surprised if it was even "hundreds".
Ignore that fool. In my town here in Medan, Indonesia, everybody is wearing masks out there despite the mandated having been removed.

Luckily for sensible countries the extent and severity of the problem can easily be measured by the number of cases requiring hospital intervention as well as the capacity and occupancy of their hospitals. The initial "two weeks to flatten the curve" was not meant to curb the number of COVID cases as a statistic measure but rather to alleviate the overcrowding of their emergency rooms.

So if there were indeed a problem in more liberal societies, you'd know. But there isn't and it seems that China is the only country not permitting its people to see that.
that failed and millions died.

Don't worry, people. The Chinese citizens love the CCP so much that the government is just censoring the World Cup for - err - their own "health & safety". Right?

This bloke reports a different experience. No censorship at all in TikTok World Cup matches.

Which is free to view in China btw.. I wish all the matches were free in my country. But some genius in some of our broadcaster wanted exclusivity and paid stupid money for it.
