Literally everything you said about Pakistan can be accurately extrapolated to India. Both are failed states with inept governments. The only difference is population.
Except Pakistan is much worse:

- It has suffered near constant political instability. From 1988 to 1998, it had 7 different governments through multiple coups, with political crisis happening again in 1999, 2001, 2007, etc..2022. It’s a failed state.

- GDP per capita in Pakistan is around 50% lower compared to India. That delta will continue to widen.

- It’s addicted to foreign loans without making the necessary economic reforms. Can it function without IMF or China bailouts?

India is doing much better than Pakistan. Actually at this point I am almost ready to call it a failed state. 20 years of no progress, and the one hope they had with IK, they are going to throw him to jail

Paraguay may be next to switch ties to China

  • President Mario Abdo Benítez wants Taiwan to cough up US$1 billion. Otherwise, the Chinese market beckons for his country’s powerful farming lobby
“Imagine what the [agricultural] producers say when meat prices fall and they don’t have access to China,” Abdo said. “They ask you: ‘Please, we have to open up to the Chinese market. What does Taiwan give us when we are a country which could sell its entire soy and meat output to China?’”
A Foreign Policy Analysis study last year estimated that Paraguay had to forgo the equivalent of 1 per cent of gross domestic product per year in lost aid and investment between 2005 and 2014 from China.
Abdo said in the interview that his health minister met the Chinese consul in Brazil about vaccine aid at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. “You have three options,” Abdo quoted the consul as saying. “You can be Chinese, which you aren’t, an ally of China, which you aren’t, or a poor country which you aren’t either.”
