TikTok's hiring of Erica Mindel is more lip service than substance.

Regardless of who they hire or fire, TikTok is going to set their algorithm to push any and all content that maximizes monetization, and by extension their valuation, without getting their platform shutdown for good.

With that said, no one should expect TikTok to be pro/anti-Israel or pro/anti-Palestine, so much as first and foremost $/€/¥ oriented.

That might disappoint some of you, but at the end of the day, what else is there to expect from a commercial enterprise like TikTok?
