Australia in firing line of US-China sea rivalry
It may be time for Canberra to rethink its maritime patrol operations in the South China Sea

Huge White is an Australia geopolitical scholar who is more of a realist than Kevin Rudd. Hence he is not very popular in Australia nowadays. But his analysis of geopolitics in the APAC region is often spot on. He has been saying for over 10 years that,
(1) It is getting harder over time for US to maintain military supremacy in the western pacific;
(2) Australia must not choose.
But as I see it, Australia politicians don't listen to him. China/Australia relationship has been drifting down the slope ever since the two countries signed the free trade agreement in 2015. As a result, Chinese perception of Australia has gone from a cute little white country to a nasty white barbaria. Only iron ores are saving the Australia economy now.
I actually think China might invade Australia before Taiwan if China goes as west have been portraying ......
