That’s what happens when trust in local authorities continues to deteriorate over the last few years. Neither the Dems or Repubs trust cops anymore. So they take it into their own hands. 19 cops stood in the hallway and did nothing for an hour. Not until federal agents disregarded local authorities orders to not breach the room.
ABCs. I don't talk politics with them so I won't assume their views but suffice to say they are very smart people. One is currently doing a PhD in computer engineering at Northwestern. There is a lot of ideas and knowledge flowing from China to the west compared to 10 years ago when it was all one way traffic. AI is relatively open field, when advances are made they get published and information is disseminated.
That's one I don't blame them for. You need to be a competent swimmer to rescue a grown man. Plenty of would be rescuers have been pulled down with the person who is drowning.
There should be some sort of life preserver there for these sorts of situations.

To be honest, people should just view her as another athlete, nothing more, nothing less. The Chinese seriously needs to stop viewing her as some sort of patriotic heroine that stopped drinking the American koolaid. She is just there for the money and is using controversy to establish her brand, and there is nothing wrong with that. Plenty of athletes and famous actors (*cough*John Cena*cough*) do that.
Would it have been that hard for these bozos to call back HQ and ask for the river guards, or whatever, to take care of the situation?
They were just spectating as the guy drowned. I doubt there isn't police with boats somewhere around that river.

Yea but John Cena doesn't win Olympic medals for China. If more athletes like Eileen Gu win medals for China then she won't be as special.
