I will also add that the previous Prime Minister of Bulgaria was also the one who approved the construction of the gas interconnector to Greece that this guy expects to be operational to save his neck. Supposed to be operational in late June. Then Bulgaria was supposed to either get LNG from a port in Greece or via TAP from Azerbaijan. But the Greeks are still expanding LNG regasification capacity at their ports. So might not even have spare capacity for Bulgaria yet. And both options, like I said, require the interconnector to Greece to be operational.
So the prior Prime Minister covered all the bases. Have alternative gas from Russia if supply from Ukraine is cut? Check with TurkStream. Alternative to Russian gas in case it is cut? Double check. With interconnector to Greece.

But this idiot. He is gambling on the gas storage lasting until the interconnector is available, and gas is being pumped through it, assuming he does have gas purchased. He is gambling with people's lives. Probably thinks he can siphon gas like Ukraine did, because Serbia and Hungary are on the other end of TurkStream aka BalkanStream. But the thing is, Hungary and Serbia can still get gas via Ukraine, and I think Serbia has pretty decent storage capability, as does Hungary. So the Russians might just cut the gas and let Bulgaria sink.

The interconnector with Greece was a pretty smart idea. Was it that hard for Bulgaria to just play along with Russia for 1-2 more months before trying to grandstand...

In general, many Eastern Europe countries were prepared for this to happen. Post Crimea they took many actions to wean themselves off Russian gas

They don’t have a lot of gas left. From the article above.

Earlier in the day, Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said that Bulgaria has enough gas supplies to last more than one month should nothing change, stressing that Sofia would not accept Russia’s terms on exports of gas.

They could have said couple or a few months. +1 is quite a specific number to mention

I totally AGREE with her !!! The world needs a "NATO of the world", a global security alliance (GSA). The aim of this "global NATO" should be first and foremost to stabilize the world, keep the peace and to deter the number 1 threat to global peace and stability, the Neocon/Neolib US. I am getting the slow impression that the 85+ % of the world had about enough of the other US imperialist/supremacist controlled 15% of the world.

I wonder what steps will Russia make and if they even have any credible options to take. View attachment 87929

The West is desperately trying to make the Ukraine campaign more successful than it otherwise would be. All those millionaires from other countries (especially China, the Middle East, etc.) who invested in Western countries will be seeking to diversify their holdings, adding more momentum to the downward spiral of high inflation and stunted growth since the West has proven that they can steal your shit at a whim without any due process. This was a huge mistake that will erode another "advantage" the West had because of their desire to virtue signal and the self-propagandized sense of impunity.

A day is fast approaching when we will finally being seeing hypersonic missiles in use and with any luck, this b!tch can become the very first volunteer given how excited she is in driving these needless wars based on trying to bring back the age of British colonialism. The world will e better of without her and those like her and if their is one this they really should question, is it wise to piss of the bear and the dragon at the same time. The uk has learnt nothing from ww2 but those days are going to be numbered soon

They still think the British Empire is ruling the world. Last year, she said that the UK should stop feeling guilty about their colonial past an instead be proud and embrace their identity and status. I wouldn’t be surprised if her dream is to own some slaves like the good old days of colonialism.

As always, talkin' up a big fuss about nothing just like the QUAD. The West is all about image over substance; it is their culture. When they have nothing of solid value, they kick up dirt flailing like this. The US once again showing weakness and lack of self confidence by looking outward instead of inward for power. When China makes progress, the headlines go, "Chinese scientist team makes breakthrough in quantum internet, achieves unparalleled speed and data storage with unhackable communications." When America makes "progress," the headlines go, "US signals understanding, nears internet pact with XXX countries, (mostly in Europe)." And then afterwards, those countries keep China as their largest trading partner and drag their feet on every small insignificant thing making mountains out of molehills while doing thier best to keep business as usual with the world's largest market and trading nation without getting sanctioned by the world's biggest curmudgeon and dotard.
