US warns against Russian energy ban​

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Thursday that a complete European ban on Russian oil and gas imports would “clearly” raise global oil prices and may inflict harm on Europe and other parts of the world.

“It could actually have very little negative impact on Russia, because although Russia might export less, the price it gets for its exports would go up,” she said, as quoted by AFP.

How does Ukraine feel that Finland got accepted so easily? Both border Russia. The only reason why the West wants to see an Asian NATO against China is because then those countries will be obligated to do some heavy lifting whereas now the US would bear most of the burden. Like if China did invade a neighboring country right now, the US wouldn't be involved doing the exact same thing with or without an Asian NATO? As the West loses more power and influence in the world, these pacts are really about controlling members on what they can or cannot do economically and militarily.

I wonder how this will bite them in the ass in the future. Maybe in 10-20 years when the US is no longer the dominant power it is today, they might try to reach their fist much higher up their rear to leach off any money the fins have left just like what they are doing to Japan today. The devil always gets its dues.
