The US started sending "lethal aid" i.e. weapons shipments to Ukraine when Trump was President. And these accelerated last year.
Even if you look at T-64 mod. 2017 that Ukraine has it features third generation thermal sensors and modern digital battle management system. All NATO technology. And even Russia is still stuck with second generation thermal sensors. Ukraine has better thermal sensors than most tanks in NATO service.

This isn’t going to end well, the harder that the USA pushes Russia, the less in ways of moral restrictions that Russia will use in dealing with the EU and USA and should Russia unleash there hell in return, well who is going to win then. The USA is pushing Russia to the breaking point, and if the Russians get it into there heads that the only good westerner is a very dead one, well these people had better fix there economies and stock pile right now because if stuff goes dark for these people, once trust is lost with Russia to an extent where no recovery can ever occur, nothing will ever bring that trust back and by the time these US neo con war mongers are in a position where they are literally without their assets, it will not take a genius to imagine what is going to happen to these people. They dug their figurative graves and no rapture is going to save these satanic douchebags. This was avoidable but one the USA crossed that line, they had better be prepared for the same to happen… to them

Kinda doubt it is the US actions causing Russia to harden their stance since they haven’t really responded at all. However, Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory specifically civilian targets is forcing a hardening of Russia response.

Biden administration to resume leasing for oil and gas drilling on federal lands

Despite, what other users opinions are but like come on. Trump chance of winning 2024 has got to be like 95% at this point.

Inflation nor Ukraine is going away, more rate hikes incoming = slowing economy, Biden breaking like every promise, Dems/Biden pissing off the dem voter base, etc.

Seems more likely the Republicans will force some sort of confrontation with China within the next few years.

Thai-Chinese Submarine Deal Faces Axe: PM Prayut

Thailand’s procurement of a submarine from China could be canceled after a German company said it was unable to supply the needed propulsion system, the country’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said earlier this week.

In 2017, Thailand agreed to the purchase of the S26T submarine for 13.5 billion baht ($402.9 million), with payments to be made in installments over a seven-year period, with delivery expected next year.

Yet somehow, China's military spending per GDP is still stuck at about 1.3-5%.
Watch how a war happens and we get caught with our pants down

Quadruple J-20 production
Further increase warships/subs production
Quadruple missile production
Accelerate nuclear warheads build up

History shows that there a lot of complaints about military spending but when sht hits the fan you will thank your lucky stars about getting ready militarily. If anyone seriously thinks that the 2020-2030 is 100% going to be peaceful then I got a nice bridge ready to sell him. military spending per gdp should reach 2% ASAP

Sure, and provide ammo for the Republicans to call him a traitor.
The thing is, you don't make policy decisions based on the 'name smears' other party may makes against you. You do what is right for the American people, then present facts to back up your decision.

No way.

You can easily fight using facts against low-level smears. Low-level smears might work for low-information voters, but vast majority of people can be swayed using facts and the reality of inflation, which can easily be linked to tariffs.

1000 warheads is a fool's number. I will be very unhappy if by the time this year's CMPR comes out, the estimate hasn't been revised to 1500-2000. Not like the US is the only potential target. Just a certain country in South Asia could eat hundreds and hardly notice.
