Unfortunately, the West will perceive this as a sign of weakness, rather than professionalism in diplomacy. The Cold War really traumatised an entire generation of western leaders such that they feel that they have to destroy Russia to keep the night terrors at bay.

IMO. I don’t think it’s “trauma” form the Cold War era. That generation has long passed and retired. The current roster are drunk on Western Hegemony ever since the USSR dissolved 30 years ago. Pride and Ego is their new motto.

It is a reaction. China does not want to escalate tension unnecessarily. China is still wanting to work with the US. 合则两利 is what China says for the time being.

The US obviously is taking advantage of and abusing China's self-restraint.

But China's patience might have been wearing thin.
It's incompetency or arrogance from America. The last thing they want is a war in Taiwan or Asia as well as the Ukraine. Yet they seem to be trying to provoke one.

They have already said they don't want WWIII, so is their plan to switch to full time war economy to fund and send arms to two parts of the world?

SAP is overpriced shit anyways. And software can be pirated.
You mostly need SAP to integrate with global supply chains they are cutting Russia out of. So who cares.
Who cares if you can order and inventory products which never come because they are stuck at port?
It is just another de-SWIFTing. If Russia had to they would even go back to spreadsheets.
In the long term I am sure their industry will adjust. No lack of software developers in Russia. Or Belarus for that matter.

There are many other ERP systems on the market, including Chinese developed systems, they currently are just not as mature / developed / in depth as SAP. However, silver linings, development opportunity.

A major strike against Germany who had earlier indicated it would use its budget to buy US arms to send to Ukraine, even as its own citizens are angry over the rise in fuel and bread prices.

According to the Russians, they have in custody, a US General (active duty or not remains to be seen) captured from the fighting in Mariupol and are preparing for a Nuremburg style trial to be held in Novorossiya.

I dare say, the German leadership is mad, or compromised or both; have they never experiened european winters?!! Unlike the rich who can fly down to Spain or Ibiza, many europeans struggle with the rent at these current economic climate along with rising gas prices!

Germany is a US vassal state that is not only still occupied by the Anglo-Americans but also has its institutions heavily infiltrated by US agents (really Quislings) that basically serve as US lobbyist and puppets in Germany and Europe.

The current "political" authorities in German do not represent Germany or the will of its people. Also keep in mind, that Anti-Russian propaganda via US agents in Germany has been reaching new levels of absurdity.

Germany is not a sovereign country.

Being a little bit weaker doesn't mean you can't inflict fatal damage if pushed into a corner. Example: Ukraine is inflicting significant damage on Russia with 1/4 the population and 1/8 the GDP, imagine the damage that can be inflicted with 4x the population and equal GDP.
You want to be like Ukraine, ok sure

The US obviously is taking advantage of and abusing China's weakness. US still the more strong, That is all.
It's just a visit. US has done many visits in the past. This warrants a strong warning from China and targeted individual sanctions, nothing more, nothing less. When push comes to shove, US won't do jack shit to directly intervene and militarily protect Taiwan, regardless of how little bit stronger US is.
