China can't afford IK to lose. Neither can we in the region. I don't believe US is doing this alone. I would say they are doing it on request of their patsy,
Pakistan will always be China's ally, it doesnt matter if their government changes.

However I like IK's adminstration more because he is a reformist and he has improved significantly Pakistan's economy.

China wants an economically strong Pakistan not a Pakistan which goes around the world to beg for aid. The stronger Pakistan's economy is, the better for China

Its not about only political ally. Pak under this particular guy is perfect counter balance of SP12, and given his popularity base his words & actions are followed beyond his boundaries. India feasts on populism but cant handle when confronted with same type of one. Just looking at two you can say the difference in personalities. India would definitely prefer that previous timid fat bald guy(i forgot his name) over current one.
Not only behind the scene politics, narrative matters too. Because it resonates within population, specially the younger ones.

These guys have not understood yet that Putin does not bluff.
Like I said here before, Russia has Europe's largest natural gas storage facilities. And since winter is mostly over they should be fairly empty. Russia can easily stop supplying Europe with gas and start filling their own storage. And if the Europeans insist on not buying for a month or two, the Russians will just start progressively shutting down gas wells. And in the future Europe might find out they won't be able to buy any gas from Russia in the short term. As the gas wells will take months to become operational again. By that time winter in the Northern Hemisphere will come and good luck getting gas anywhere.

When you see them claim that a large fraction of Russia's government income is from oil&gas sales they get mistaken on several counts. They confuse all mineral taxes with oil&gas taxes. They forget Russia consumes more gas than they export. Etc.

Russia produced 762 bcm of gas in 2021. They exported 169 bcm to the EU. 10 bcm of piped gas to China. So who do you think is getting most of the gas? Russian consumers. They are the ones paying most of the mineral tax.

Also for reference the EU's "huge deal" to get 15 bcm of LNG from the US doesn't even replace Russian LNG imports by Europe. Let alone piped gas imports.

This euro amount, 2,319,800,000,000, which barely fits on the screen, is the BALANCE OF GERMANY's DEBT FROM THE CORONAVIRUS EPIDEMIC. Germany has accumulated RECORD DEBTS.

In 2021, liabilities grew again by almost 6.8%. The difference in the level of debt per capita between the federal states is enormous.

Nevertheless, in this situation, the leadership of this country willingly joins the sanctions against Russia, sponsors the Ukrainian junta and offers its citizens to eat less meat and be more economical.
