"#Germany's #inflation jumps by 7.3% in March, highest CPI YoY print since Nov 1981."

"Annual inflation in Belgium hits 8.3%, the highest since 1983

Spain's inflation hits 9.8%, the highest in 37 years."

It is that expression, "Short term pain for long term gain."

The problem here is that no one knows what the long term gain part is for Europe?

Another Cold War with Russia?

No gas, until the expensive gas comes, which could not be enough.

Inflation.

Blah blah blah.

Guess we should just sit back and laugh!!!

Yesterday you had a meeting between Katherine Tai (US trade representative) and Dan Tehan (Australian trade minister). This is the link to their press release: seems that 80% of their meeting was about targeting China's economic model from industrial subsidies, state-owned enterprises, joining forces at the WTO with like minded partners (G7) to target China. In the 19th century there was a huge agressive tendency to convert us to pious christians. These days they want to convert our economic model to neoliberalism (muh free market) among other things. Here is the link to the press release from the USTR (United State trade representative) about that meeting.

This is not a plan.

This is just noise, because they are out of options of what to do, and are just saying stuff to make it look like they are doing something.

Sure, just start another trade war with China, which will be on top of the current on/off trade war, and tech, and Russian economic war.

This is getting funny and desperate.

They basically just took Russia's money, and now they expect everyone to follow the rules at the WTO?

Insert ( ______ ) your obscenity here!

:p

This Taiwanese Catherine Tai needs to be contained soon. With both of their economies crumbling, they will be begging China for help.

R/cringe worthy. The desperation is palpable with their pathetic attempts to split China-Russia

"A reminder for all Chinese.

Everything south of the Nerchinsk Line from 1689 is stolen Chinese land.

In the Treaty of Aigun (1858), Russia stole everything up to the Amur River (in yellow).

In the Peking Treaty (1860), they stole all the land east of the Ussuri River (in red)."

Propose splitting the USA into 600 separate nations for each of the tribes pre-colonialism. They will flip their shit off.

Not anti-China but most likely get closer to the West. IK got a bit too close to the East for some powers' liking so he is now being soft couped by foreign powers
Well, the past PM was from Muslim League iirc and they were even more pro-China. I don't think there is going to be warming up between Pakistan and the US because the latter is cozying up to India.

If you read the replies. Most are saying better Russian then Chinese land. They regard Russia and European so it still better to be under Russia then china. This is the racist bias that exists.
The only thing you can do is to refute these racists on twitter post by post.

All these alliances the US is drumming up but not giving more more market access to the US is all about controlling members not countering China. Most countries in Asia rely on China supplying raw materials that Chinese get around the world in deals it makes with other countries. The US/West lose out in competing with China because those countries see China giving them the better deal meaning they make more money. Even Western countries complain that China outprices them in those deals. The US is not giving more access so countries can make more money than they would with China, so who's going to naturally win? Go ahead and cut China out... and everything they do afterwards will cost them more. Capitalism is like water. It always seeks the lowest level it can go. Going to China means that's where they go to get the lowest cost for materials and products so they can make or save the most money. Change that and everything is going to cost them more money. Most of the countries the US is relying on to replace China most of them get their raw materials to make things from China. Are we going to see Vietnam with their own shipping fleets anytime soon? What's makes them think Vietnam is going to beat China in deals around the world where the West fails? Maybe Vietnam will expect the US to pay it for them. Maybe the US expects to have them made with expensive US steel. Every point they go, it's going to cost them more money.

The candid confession of a true war criminal, Kissinger, who's policies were partially responsible for millions deaths in Asian and South America, especially in Vietnam, rings true for the 2022 Ukraine War. To put it succinctly, in order to rein in the EU, especially Germany, from using Russian energy and developing good relationship with Russia, the U.S. will fight to the last Ukrainian.
