One of the flight recorders of MU5735 that crashed on March 21 has been found and sent to Beijing for data retrieval and analysis.
This recorder was buried in dirt some 30 meters away from the center of the impact crater when the rescuers found it at about 16:30 local time on March 23.
According to the investigators at scene, the recorder's exterior is badly damaged but the data storage part appears intact. It's likely the CVR (cockpit voice recorder).
The rescuers have covered the area of about 28 square meters around the impact scene. Pieces of crashed airplane and human remains found at the scene have been handed over to the investigation teams.
The search and rescue was slowed down by heavy rains.
In another press briefing a few hours earlier, the investigation team confirmed that the weather condition was good when the crash was happening.
The chair of board of China Eastern Airlines, of which MU5735 belonged to, confirmed that, according to the maintenance and inspection records of the Boeing 737-800 lost in crash, the airplane was in good condition and met the requirements for airworthiness before taking off.
The pilot crew all had valid licenses for flight and certificates for health conditions. They were in good health physically. The capitain had flown 6709 hours. The first co-pilot had 3176 hours [31769 hours - this must be a typo by Guancha's editor here]. The second co-pilot had 556 hours. So far they have not been found having had issues or problems related to either work or family.

USS Springfield fast-attack submarine arrives in Guam
The Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Springfield (SSN 761) arrived March 21 at Naval Base Guam from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, shifting its homeport as part of the U.S. Navy strategic laydown plan for naval forces in the Indo-Pacific region.
The security environment in the Indo-Pacific requires that the U.S. Navy station the most capable ships forward. This posture allows rapid responses for maritime and joint forces, and brings our most capable ships and submarines with the greatest amount of striking power and operational capability to bear in the timeliest manner.
In accordance with the strategic laydown plan 2021, there will be five Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines homeported in Guam by the end of 2022.
“As part of the U.S. Navy’s plan to put the most advanced and capable units forward, USS Springfield completed a homeport shift from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to Guam in order to support Indo-Pacific initiatives and missions,” said Capt. Bret Grabbe, commodore, Submarine Squadron 15.
The submarine’s ability to support a multitude of missions, to include anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, surveillance and reconnaissance, and strike warfare, makes Springfield one of the most capable submarines in the world.
Springfield is one of multiple Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines assigned to Commander, Submarine Squadron 15 (CSS-15), which is located at Polaris Point, Naval Base Guam. The squadron staff is responsible for providing training, material and personnel readiness support to these commands. Also based out of Naval Base Guam are submarine tenders USS Frank Cable (AS 40) and USS Emory S. Land (AS 39). The submarines and tenders are maintained as part of the U.S. Navy’s forward-deployed submarine force and are readily capable of meeting global operational requirements.

Everyone knows it. All Chinese know that China is a capitalist country in how it operates. It is too obvious. The lao ba sing will all say China is a capitalist country because that is how it works, but the communist government runs China.

The point is, Chinese people are peasants. Who are the peasants? They are the people who grow stuff in the country side.
Was is a farmer? A farmer is a capitalist through and through.
The farmer plants their seeds, tend to the crops, give sacrifice to the gods for good weather, and then hope for a bountiful harvest. Then the farmer sells their production in the village markets. This capitalistic system has been in place for centuries.
That is the essence of capitalism. You invest, and hope to reap rewards from that investment, such as the simple Chinese peasant.
But in China, today, capitalism can exist, just that the capital is not above the government.
In my opinion, "government is above capital" is pretty much the only realistic workable model that the followers of Marx-Leninism can ever come up with in real life, at humanity's current technological level. May be high-tech AI futuristic society can evolve outside of market capitalism in the mid to distant future, but today, this is the closest workable model to ideal Marx-Leninist communism/socialism we can get.
Indeed, for an ideal ML communist/socialist society to exist, some key technologies need to mature and exist. The most important invention for this century and what I'm excited for is Fusion Energy. If they managed to get it working in ITER, It won't be long for countries to start producing their own fusion reactors. With Fusion energy, we can realistically use inefficient/energy-intensive process to recycle or convert materials into useful ones, we can also start geo-engineering the planet through carbon capture and mass cloud seeding. This would also completely change the dynamic warfare as well, as railguns and laser weapons that uses a lot of energy can be powered cheaply, ships and plane powered indefinitely, and space travel becoming even more viable.
Back to the idea of ideal ML communist/socialist society, in a nutshell, we need technologies that can bring about post-scarcity for it to work.
I believe that an "orthodox" sustainable socialist economy can be achieved nowdays with the current technological advances easily. USSR of 30's to 60's went full on to scientific socialism and got some great results. The main problem is the political conscioussness of the masses. To implement communism in any aspect in everyday life. We are not at the primitive stage of "land to the farmers, factories to workers" quoting and cheering. For example every people must be a member of the CPC and involve in decision making at every level. Then the true and deep democracy of Marxism-Leninism will occure, when the state dissolves and embodies to the society and vice versa. I think that CPC current will is letting people free to choose(instead of the early days enforcing), and later find naturally that the collective form of social and economic organization is the most effective in any aspect. With a little bit of push of course
