The Anglos basically bribe Iran to end the sanctions so they can start buying Iranian oil again. The Saudis get unhappy.

Suddenly another wild Houthi drone appears and hits Saudi oil refinery, they've already announced it will reduce capacity. No surprise there.

I wonder what America's greatest ally Israel will do about facing the prospect of a nuclear Iran? They've already refused to take sides in the Ukraine and that was before the Iranian deal.
The Saudis flirting with Russia and in extension China.
The U.S. bribing Iran and shifting to the UAE with Qatar already in the pocket.
The M.E. continues to be a mess.

One indicator of how bad EU's economy is will be the upcoming summit between EU and China on April 1st. If EU proceeds with it, it means they are hurting pretty bad.

But if EU cancels it, they can probably tolerate more economic pain before requesting the meeting to resume. Lithuania has already requested the cancellation of the summit a few days ago.

EU's economy is in deep poo poo. They don't dare to cancel the meeting.

"We are concerned about the fact that China is flirting with the Russians," he added. The EU will "impose trade barriers against China" should Beijing proceed with Russia's request, he said, as "this is the only language Beijing understands."
The EU-China summit, scheduled for April 1 with President Xi Jinping, will go on as scheduled, as confirmed in a meeting with all EU countries' top representatives in Brussels on Friday.

It is interesting EU used the words "impose trade barriers" instead of "trade sanctions" against China.

The last time EU sanctioned China, they went into shock when China counter-sanctioned back. One of the agenda item on the April 1 visit is for China to lift those sanctions in return for restart of the negotiation on the Investment Agreement. Good luck if they think China will agree to that.

It was hilarious and also just shows how fucking delusional and chauvinist those fuckers were, like how could you not predict China would hit back if you were to just suddenly sanction China.

ESPECIALLY considering China even went into a trade war with the US before all that.

the thing with democracy is that it produces people good at arguing. The problem with arguing is it tend to get stuck on small things and scoring points. I'd rather China has many strategic thinkers and people who can only win battle of the tongue.

Anyway, Qin could say "Has your president condemned the war? The world's only super power has condemned the war. did it make any difference? No. In fact the entire western world has done that and made no difference. To suggest China has more influence than the entire western world is, well, news to me." then he can make points about the background of NATO expansion.

Overall, it's tough to do this kind of point scoring with an uninformed audience without extensive practice, and obviously in a second language.
That will reduce him to our bickering level. He is a diplomat. Diplomats are Neither debaters nor academics. Diplomats is the representation of a country to another.

Actually the middle east is probably the least divided its ever been.
The real only division remaining is the Saudi-Iran one.
Assad visited UAE in person to make a deal.
The $42Billion so called investment was a down-payment for buying the Indians support against Russia. The west really loves to project their B.S. to China, and yet here we are witnessing India essentially being pressured by the spineless, bushido b.s. Japanese to do their bidding. If India has any self-respect, or dignity left as a supposed great country, it will not follow such dumb dumb push from the Japanese prodding cajoled by the always omnipresent U.S. of A.
Giving Indians $42 billion just to get them to turn on Russia? Knowing Indians they'll probably say yes and carry on buying oil.

At some point you have to wonder when even the Japanese will get sick of the American hegemony.

The writer of that article is Stuart Lau. You can ignore the article promptly for that reason.
That guy is extremely biased against China and is known for making up things.

I always laugh at the existence of anonymous officials at mainstream media. Those officials are so concerned about secrecy that they don't even want their names published yet they are still giving interviews to mainstream media.

Shocker. The guy previously worked at the SCMP.

Are we sure SCMP doesn’t stand for the Southern Conservative Morning Post?
