I think we expect the new SK regime will now pivot harder to US. We also know from what China been saying all this time, they want good relations with SK. Even saying kind words during winter Olympics to put out the fire of anti Chinese feelings caused by competition in the short track skating events. i thought that was quite unusual. Now China probably realize it's gonna be tough.
Even though the sino sk relationship is going to be rocky as SK goes more into US orbit, I doubt it will matter much overall to China. S Korea hard power is limited. As others said, economy is quite integrated with china's. If they really want to go against China, it will hurt them too. Their society now is also deeply divided as seen by close result. domestic issues like housing, equality, LBGT have become hot button issues. I dun think China is a main issue at all for them. There is no need I think for China to fundamentally change their approach. Continue to strengthen relations with Russia without calling it a formal alliance and secure that. The rest will fall into place

Most South Koreans seem to have the notion that North Korea being there is not a big issue. Since historically Korea had periods of North-South split. South Koreans also seem to have deep historical hatred of both China and Japan. But who knows.
North Korea's army is just too obsolete. The US might chance a conventional war against it. Especially if South Korea and Japan did most of the work. If it was a decade ago I would not see the South Koreans contemplating an invasion. But today who knows. The world is going crazy.
They might just crunch some numbers and think they can cover North Korea in a bubble with AEGIS destroyers to prevent any North Korean nuclear missile launch. The US, Japanese, and South Korean destroyers put together.
The North Koreans already work in construction projects in Russia. And not even just Russia. Even in places like Poland.

Not likely South Korea would attempt an invasion. I believe Seoul is just 50KM from 38 parallel line. North Korea artillery would come down hard on Seoul. North Korea might not need a missile to hit SK with a nuclear weapon. Missiles defense could help Japan and the US but not SK. Beside, NK has a defense treaty with China. NK is the only country in the world that is under China's protection.
