Why would Biden, who absolutely hates Trump and all his associates, send Pompeo to Taiwan?
Exactly! Two considerations for US:
1) If US-ROC forces does not reconquer mainland, then PRC will invade in future. Is US will to park kajillion CATOBARs and 5th gens off Taiwan's coast for the next 10,000 years? No.
2) If US does intervene, but get it's ass whopped, then say good-bye to your international prestige and global hegemony, particular KOR-US and JPN-US alliances.
Therefore, short of catastrophic nuclear MAD, US is better off saying the WanWanese morale is low, they are corrupt, infiltrated by Chineses spies, and unworthy of US saving, because it's not even a real democracy (English Vegetable is a Chinese Manchurian candidate/spy).

Not exactly latest news. RT America closes. So much for Western values of Freedom of Speech. Russia in retaliation, bans the BBC, DW, and CNN. Russia had also banned Facebook. Congratulations Russia, you have cleaned the media pollution in your territory. Welcome to the club.
Next for Russia is to adopt new alternative platforms to Facebook, YouTube, and Google. The Russian people will go through a painful withdrawal period due to the sudden ban, but it'll be necessary. In the longer term, they'll have healthier minds.
Russia and China needs to create new alternative platforms that cater to the English-speaking audience. They really need an alternative to the mainstream Western platforms. Its not impossible, Tim Tok was a great example.
Except for the social media crap and porn, all those companies are in China, TWO ARE Chinese founded and most of those companies make more revenue in China that in their home country. he didn't even did the minimal research before tweeting that crappy tweet. LOL.
Remember all the folks that kept saying that if only China / CGTN/ etc was more like RT and did PR better than Russia?
Well at the end of the day it was all for nothing without having control of the platforms and infrastructure.... It doesn't matter how good PR China gets on the likes of Twitter or Youtube or even anything ending in a .com website, when the time comes all the US has to do is axe all of it in one single moment (plus get Apple/Google to delist all the apps etc and AWS/Azure/Oracle to delete all the servers and databases)
Russia is experiencing its own Huawei moment... but the only way forward is to work with China and other likeminded forces to counteract the enemy and create an alternative system from the ground up.... not something that exists as a layer on top of the enemies platform... as we have seen all too clear, a house built on sand will blow away in a storm
The supchina.com website, for years I never visited because I thought they were crap.
Lately, by chance, read one of their articles, and it was good. Did not realize it was them.
Maybe they changed? Maybe since they charge money for some articles, they had to get rid of the bs.
Most likely Chinese brands will move into the russian market place.
