Meanwhile in one of French well run colonies, Barkuna Faso a new power has risen. The people were apparently not so keen on rampant insecurity from AL Qaeda terrorists that's terrorizing the country and not equipping their military sufficiently to combat the threat. The French military debt trap I mean goodwill and investments has yet to bring any tangible signs of progress and stability. But hey at least France is not China.
Burkina Faso was run by the dictator Blaise Compaore for many years with the support of France.
He killed the Marxist former leader Thomas Sankara who had begun many reforms in the country, who had taken power in a coup of his own with support from Compaore.
Of course his main sin was nationalizing western owned mines. With that, his fate was sealed to that of Patrice Lumumba.
Once Compaore was in power, Burkina Faso went back to getting loans from IMF and France.
