I don't see how the US won Ukraine and yes the guy Russia supports was ousted but I don't think Russia won or lost there it always had a plan to annex Ukraine as they view it being part of the larger Kievan-rus history but I can now understand the olympic curse

I guess you are one of those guys who think like Brzezinski. Militaries have all sorts of contingency plans but there was never a policy for the Russian Federation to annex Ukraine. Ukraine should have learned with what happened with Finland back in WW2. The Soviet Union could have easily annexed Finland, it used to be part of the Russian Empire, but they did not bother doing it. All they wanted was a security cordon around their inner core. They did it with two things, grabbing all the land within artillery range to St. Petersburg, and forcing Finland to be neutral. They first tried a negotiated approach with the Finns and proposed a land swap deal. When this failed the war started. The Russians take security issues very seriously. Despite whatever you might hear from the West this policy of neutrality was highly beneficial for Finland in the long run.
The same thing could have happened with Ukraine. They just had to remain neutral. But the current leadership could care less about it. Their mentality is rape and plunder of their own people while it lasts.

Not sure if posted yet but this come from the far-right US propaganda outlet Fox Business ("News"):

Can America still defend the world?

IMHO: It shows once more that the US has lost touch with reality and that it is operating in their own fantasy world. With its wars and coups of aggression, economic warfare, funding of terrorists, militarization of Asia and Europe, the Neocon/Neolib US has turned itself into the greatest nation state based threat to the world in over 70 years.

Julian Assange was mentioned by Weiwei and all that fake smile from the woke propagandist turned into "Greta's How Dare You" moment. Which essentially broke down the facade of the west really truly caring about "human rights".
you summarized it perfectly. to me it was like a great drama. I really didn't see that coming and the turn was so sudden and abrupt.

In fact deep down I enjoyed it for 2 other reasons.
1. at some point everyone has to chose a side. I have. But do we still care about truth and nothing but the truth after we have chosen a side? I respect Ai's pursuit of truth (although I don't always agree with his conclusions). I don't know about Ai. But I think it takes a lot of courage to chose a side but belong nowhere (how you end up if you only care about truth).
2. The other is the balance between my nationalism and my individualism. sometimes I worry my nationalism is just to make me feel better about myself. I don't know if I have a good point here, but I feel instead of trying to properly assign blames for the 5000 lost lives of Chinese young, Ai, an architect, could have spend his energy designing new schools. He obviously love the people. But I feel his choice reflect his individual need to vent anger than an expression of nationalism. I have no doubt that he loves China. but in the end, I thought he made greater contribution when he was building things than being a bitter critic (because criticism is all about asking other people to build things).

South Korea’s conservative politicians, including presidential candidate Yoon Seok-youl, are backing a billionaire’s online anti-communism campaign using a slogan harking back to the Korean war.
The word myulgong, which means “crush commies” or “annihilate communism”, has been trending on social media in the past week
However, Yoon’s conservative People Power Party (PPP) has opposed Moon’s plan. If elected, Yoon has vowed to ditch the policy of “strategic ambiguity” – which aims to reinforce Seoul’s security alliance with the US while also maintaining friendly ties with largest trading partner China – and replace it with closer alignment to Washington. South Korea’s diplomacy must be based on universal values such as human rights, democracy and the rule of law, he has said.
Yoon’s new campaign slogan – ‘crush commies’ – is only suitable for an era of black and white TV”, said Nam Young-hee, a spokeswoman for Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-Myung.
