Imagine if she said U.S. is better off with fewer Hispanics or black people.
Like I said on my earlier posts, there's levels to the type of discrimination in the U.S. just as there's categorising and importance for the ethnic minorities. Asians are almost consistently at the bottom of power, influence, and political fallout/punishment against any alleged offenders.
There's no NAACP/AJDFL that will raise hell and can raise an effective pressure if and when any member of the Asian community gets some type of discrimination. There would have been certainly hell to pay if that racist comment was made by a white idiot, Asian moron against Blacks, Hispanic, Muslims, LGBTQ+, and most of all to the Jewish community.
I mean you have John Stewart coming out with a new absurd theory that's gaining traction in the U.S. that J.K. Rowling's choice of characters on her best selling books had antisemitic elements/characters. Apparently, according to his theory, the use of goblins as the controller/proprietors of banks are more or less the caricatures of the Jews. And since J.K. Rowling made enemies against the strong contingents from the Trans community it's only going to be a matter of time where she's going to be hang at the gallows of cancel culture guillotine.
The Asian community in the U.S./Canada are too busy competing for the attention on who's more woke for the black community by insisting, inviting that Asians be introspective of our racism against Black people. And there are strong contingents that competes for the attention, validation from the whites that Asians are indeed your "model minority" and will not even hesitate to denigrate, denounce their kind, especially if that kind is the Chinese kind. These Asians whom are of Chinese background themselves are some of the most ardent anti-China bashers more than willing and happy to engage in the "Chinese government bad, Chinese people maybe okay" shtick. The most serious card carrying pro-white agenda are the Asian females. They have their reason(s) and I don't want to infer what those reasons are only to say that it is what it is.
