That Stillwell guy is outrageous. It is like he just graduated from high school or middle school yesterday.

Another way to view that video, is that the Professor guy Allison is on the negotiation or acceptance stage in the 5 stages of grief.

The other guy Stillwell is in deep denial. The guy is clueless.

Ever wonder how the Americans how to could lose in Vietnam and lose in Afghanistan? They got people like General Stillwell in charge. That is simply unbelievable that that guy was a general, hahahaha!

As for what they plan to do with China, ie, what do they think should be American strategy?

The Stillwell guy has no strategy because we already reached peak China and it is going downhill.

The professor Allison actually thought about it, and we can tell from his facial expression, he thought about it a lot.

In short, it is a modified containment of China. He wants an American lead network of allies of like minded countries to set the rules that China must operate in. That is the American strategy as we know it today, hence a big emphasis on the allies sticking together. By setting the rules, America should have more opportunity to advance its own interests.

The only 3 obstacles China needs to overcome is to establish stable alternative payment system away from swift, achieve semiconductor/ic self sufficiency and nuclear parity, once those accomplished their rules won't mean jacks**t

All China needs to do is to avoid war before those objectives are met

Okay, this is why that American strategy is not going to work, of maintaining a web off allies to check China.

One fact alone blows that containment theory out of the water. China is the world's biggest manufacturer. China manufacture all types of products from high tech to low tech, even paper fans and back scratchers.

Chinese manufacturing has the size that is bigger than America, Germany, Japan, combined. That is combined. Then add in the obvious fact, that China's economy will double in 15-20 years, which means Chinese manufacturing could be double the size of manufacturing in America, Germany, Japan, combined.

Then add in the other fact that Germany and Japan, they have China as their biggest trading partner, that would suggests that if they contain China, they would actually contain themselves? It would.

Look what happen this week for Christmas? China tells the German companies cut your ties with that Lex Luther country otherwise we may have to find other suppliers. America put Lithuania to get closer to Taiwan. Germany on this issue sided with Germany, not Lithuania.

The best strategy for the US to do is obvious.

That strategy is out in the open, because virtually everyone in Asia is using it.

Everyone in Asia gets as close as they can to China, without being on its side. No one is really on China's side, but everyone signed as fast as they could for the RCEP, except India. That is why India will always be India. At least Stillwell got that right in the video.

Isn't this keep your friends close, but your enemies closer, straight out of The Prince? That is the problem with the Americans, they have no use for anything, like history, facts, classical Western thought too. America now is 1984, every freakin' year!

You see, if China is rising, and you get close to China, then you rise with it. And being right beside it, well maybe CIA has a better chance to undermine it. Now, there is no chance at all. CIA shut out.

That video, gwad dayum! The Americans, some of them bet the house on Comrade Chang!

I would not take what they say literally, or seriously.

Of course, since this is politics, the CCP must huff and puff, and feign anger.

Otherwise, not much CCP can do. The stupidity is too great, and at times, overwhelming.

Just let nature take its course.

It's Darwin right? The weak or stupid do not survive.

The SWIFT, not really that important, that is just about money.

Raising the educational level of the people was always a goal of CCP modernization.

The nukes, a few more, might make a difference, might not.

To me, the most important political question, is to not deviate from the current course of the CCP. It is still all about development. It is still all about the win-win outcome.

The win-win situation is the only basis for relations with the outside world. Since China is still expanding its footprint and influence worldwide, some people in other countries have bought in.

Win-win is a term straight out of Western MBA school from what I understand. That is business, that is what China is doing, business. However, not everyone will be a happy customer.

Especially when they have to still pay the Trump tariff too when they buy that game-box from Wal-Martz.

:D

It is not as serious as Indo riots in 1998. China is very awake and does not fall into these traps. The most effective and simplest way is not act

Ignore the channel then ignore its "news"... see nowhere of such story then we should know what kind of quality this youtube blogger... better stick to Alexander Mercouris, if things like this one really happens as she meant it then Alex won't miss it as well as many other Alt sources, and the MSM should have screamed out!

If what she meant was the Yamal pipeline then nothing is new.

Gazprom halts gas transit to Germany via Yamal pipeline (RT, 21 DEC 2021)

Deliveries of Russian natural gas to Germany through the Yamal-Europe pipeline have been completely halted, data from the country’s transport operator, Gascade, revealed on Tuesday morning.

The suspension of the flow comes after a weekend in which the volume being sent through the network dropped significantly, just as demand for energy in both Russia and the rest of Europe reached its winter peak. On Monday, it was reported that state-owned giant Gazprom, the system’s operator in Russia and Belarus, had booked no capacity at all for transiting natural gas on Tuesday.

...the drop in supply may be due to Russia having prioritized its storage to keep its own citizens warm as some parts of the country endure frigid temperatures.

“It is possible that cold weather here in Russia is limiting Gazprom’s export capacity to an extent, and/or they are working to keep Russian storage as full as possible,

I heard that a fleet of LNG ships is crossing the Atlantic to supply Europe. Would that be the plan, make gas in Europe so expensive and normalize those prices for a long time so that the US can starts it's gas fields again.

Russia will slowly give up its western European customers to the US and the US will stop/give up NATO eastward expansion. Seems like a good trade given that Asian are way better and more pragmatic customers.

I wouldn't know why else the EU is killing its cheap energy sources other then following this US plan.
