Even putin knows its futile to stop China development
But in Putins case, China’s development helps Russia development and helps to render Russia sanctions proof against the USA and the west so in his case, I honestly doubt he minds. Simply think of this as a situation of scratching each other’s back against a rabbit dog and also a chance for Russia to enhance its condition of living. This partnership has already caused an existential crisis in the west and it is not like Xi treats Putin like Biden treats Boris Johnson so provided that both nations act rationally, prosperity will come to both and that is the way both nations prefer it.

Japan, U.S. draw up plan for any Taiwan emergency -Kyodo

TOKYO, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Japanese and U.S. armed forces have drawn up a draft plan for a joint operation for a possible Taiwan emergency, Japan's Kyodo news agency said on Thursday, citing unnamed Japanese government sources, amid increased tensions between the island and China.

China claims democratically governed Taiwan as its own "sacred" territory and in the past two years has stepped up military and diplomatic pressure to assert its sovereignty claims, fuelling anger in Taipei and deep concern in Washington.

Taiwan's government says it wants peace, but will defend itself if needed.

Under the plan, the U.S. Marine Corps will set up temporary bases on the Nansei island chain stretching from Kyushu, one of the four main islands of Japan, to Taiwan, at the initial stage of a Taiwan emergency, and will deploy troops, Kyodo said.

Japanese armed forces will provide logistical support in such areas as ammunition and fuel supplies, it said.

Japan, former colonial ruler of Taiwan, and the United States would likely reach an agreement to start formulating an official plan at a "2+2" meeting of foreign and defence ministers early next year, the news agency said.

Japanese defence ministry officials were not immediately available for comment.

In October, Japan's government signalled a more assertive position on China's aggressive posture towards self-ruled Taiwan, suggesting it would consider options and prepare for "various scenarios" while reaffirming close U.S. ties.

Earlier this month, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that Japan and the United States could not stand by if China attacked Taiwan.

U.S. officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, have long said that given the tens of thousands of troops the U.S. has in Japan and its proximity to Taiwan, Japan would likely have to play an important role in any Taiwan emergency.

A Pentagon spokesman said that as U.S. President Joe Biden and his Japanese counterpart said in a March joint statement, both countries shared a commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.

"We are committed to enhancing resiliency and interoperability between U.S. and Japanese forces and deepening operational cooperation during peacetime and various regional contingencies," the Pentagon added.

Japan is host to major U.S. military bases, including on the southern island of Okinawa, a short flight from Taiwan, which would be crucial for any U.S. support during a Chinese attack.

China views democratic Taiwan as a wayward province, awaiting the day the island can be brought under its control - peacefully or militarily - with no right to state-to-state relations.

The United States, like most countries in the world, recognises China over Taiwan, in line with Beijing's "one China" policy. But Washington is the island's biggest arms supplier and ally and is obliged by law to help it defend itself.

A lot of words to say nothing. They are coordinating the outrage media machine and how to impose miniscule insignificant token sanctions. If they were to defend Taiwan, just come out and say it. Grow some balls.

Go eat cow dung dickwads
Anglos, as in the United States and UK don't have a problem with Nazis per se, despite the mythos of ww2; hell, UK strategy pre 1939 was heavily predicated on nazi germany acting as the saddam hussein attack dog against that era's Iran: the soviet union.

Anglo support for the nazis in ukraine and Azov Battalion should be evidence enough for typical anglo support for nazis and why wouldn't they? anglo Five Eyes Cecl Rhodes philosophy is incredibly white supremacist.

So Japan chooses death, oh well if they want to have a taste of what happened to Nanjing, well I. The end, they have been warned time and again to play with Chinas red line and they like every suck up, they fail to comprehend just how screwed they are. Let’s see if the samurai spirit is still there because what they face is no longer a war of troops but a war of missiles. When Taiwan finally becomes a part of China soon, let’s see if China is willing to go the whole hog in Japan, assuming Japan is stupid enough to put boots on the ground in Taiwan
