More power to them and I hope they will succeed and exceeds our expectations. Who knows perhaps Indian know-how and Indian engineering prowess can finally be showcased for the world to see.
The Indian railway network does actually have the transport density to justify electrification of the vast majority of its trains and tracks.
Hydrogen powered trains can't compete with this in terms of power or cost.
Have you seen Indian trains? Indians like to ride on top of them. Electrification of them will lead to a lot of Indians being electrocuted.
