Erdogan has publically said that he wants Turkey to follow China's model to become an export oriented country.

Someone please tell him that while China was poor it didn't pretend to be a superpower or whatever. Instead it sat back and quitely worked for decades while trying to be as a friendly as possible with all countries

Here, the stable genious Erdogan is making enemies out of everyone while starting the transition to the Chinese model..

Also someone tell him that businesses also want to have stability in order to invest money. With Turkish Lira in free fall every day, you are entering hyperinflation territory where everyone is jumping on the train of raising prices by double digits every month or so
This is spiralling out of control now.

I saw one analyst saying that if a weaker currency was all that was required to grow a country, Zimbabwe would already be a superpower lol
He is trying to keep his voters silent. That's all. Turkey is an export economy as it gets with more than 30% of its economy being exports, and it still has a trade deficit because 70% of its exports and 30% of its internal consumption are imported products. China manufacturing was more domestic even back in the 80s. Turkey wasted great 19 years under a corrupt populist like Erdogan. I know there are a few more Turks in this forum, if you like him I am sorry but this is the reality.
Erdogan is a snake. And as all with all snakes, he should be put down. This "Turkish World Map" is from some weeks ago.
Do you notice anything strange showing in China.......

That map has every part of the globe where a Turkic language is spoken. The colors describe the status of the are. Red is independent, orange is autonomous, and yellow are places without any autonomy. I remember speaking to a Chinese Uyghur in China. I spoke in Turkish and he spoke in Uyghur but we could understand each other. There is nothing to get angry here. Though Erdogan is a snake indeed. He has been coercing Iraq and Syria by cutting off their water for more than five years.

Erdogan is not concerned what people inside Turkey can buy rather how much Turkey can export for German firms. cheapest labor is the best. or better immigrate to Germany. It is artificial country created from German backed Ottoman empire. there is Turk Minister in German government from green party. i just dont think Turkey can survive if Germany goes down economically which is more than likely.

The current landmass Turkey is sitting on has been called Turkey (The land of Turks) since the early 1100s. Artificial indeed...

@BoraTas Sir a cautionary tale, Turkey is being prime for a Colored Revolution and Edrogan is foolish enough to give the US the ammunition to implement it. I'm afraid of the outcome, whatever opinion you have of Edrogan, he is a nationalist and popular , If removed by People power or Maidan type coup like what happen in Ukraine, we will have a civil war and it will set back Turkey a decade to recover.
Might be cynical but maybe this might be a bonus for Erdogan. Make living so hard for the common people, that they start protesting, rioting etc, and then start making laws about the "good of the country" to have more "stability" in order to bypass the election process.

No way Erdogan willingly leaves from his position of being the president

I don't agree. There is no single US campaign he doesn't support. He had Turkey volunteer for protecting the Kabul airport just this year. Taliban saved us by conquering Afghanistan in a few weeks.

Indeed. Erdogan makes a lot of noises but when it matters it is always following behind the US.

Somehow they have managed to fool Pakistan and the Muslim countries that Turkey is the protector of the Muslim faith, when it is Turkey that is attacking (by various ways) Muslim countries in the first place lol

I give Erdogan 10/10 for his PR regarding being the greatest Muslim defender..

I kinda don't understand why some parts of China & Russia are in orange, while some are in yellow. I guess it is related to the naming of the provinces - i.e. if it is like an "Autonomous region" or something close to it, then it is regarded as autonomous, if the Turkic people are just part of another province, then it is "without autonomy", am I correct? I also think that you switched up the orange and yellow - judging from the map, orange means without any autonomy, while yellow is autonomous. Because the huge yellow chunk in Russian North-East is the Sakha Republic, while a yellow chunk in China is Xinjiang (autonomous region).

The dude you replied to is Jai Russian, so tread with caution, lol.

The last few pages are so void of any nuance, geopolitics, knowledge of the political history of premodern and modern Turkey and filled with hatred, wishful thinking and political partisanship that I only have one thing to say: LMAO!

I won't even bother explaining or refuting you guys. I'll let you simmer in your bubbles of hatred and jealousy while Turkey is slowly but surely carving its own path into an increasing multi-polar world despite haters and naysayers.

Success breeds jealousy!

Happy Holidays!

Delusions of grandeur...is he going back or claiming the lands of the Xiongnu empire, the days of Attila the hun, and other "turkic" tribal lands eons ago long before the state of modern Turkey existed? Why bother joining the E.U.?

Most Turks want Xinjiang independence, not just Erdogan.
That's too bleeping bad, it ain't going to happen and never will. That land has been a part of China since the time of Tang Dynasty and it wasn't even always Muslims in terms of religion since it was Buddhist dominated faith....Xinjiang was never part of the Ottoman Empire or any of the Turkish empire as far as I am aware of...they can lay claim to Bulgaria when the Ottoman Turks managed to push itself into Europe during their expansion but beyond that zilch...
