You got it wrong .The US gets away with invasions because of it's soft power ."Look we are invading to spread democracy and freedom "

No, you got it wrong. That's not soft power; that's hard power. How can the US not get away with it? What would any nation do? If some small mediocre nation stands up to the US, it gets sanctioned into a third world country and if they support the US, they get boosted global status instead. The US can do it because of its hard power, both economic and military, which translate into political hard power. This is not soft power; this is simply nonviolent hard power up to the threat of and actual use of violent hard power. Most countries can't take this escalation so they pretend to agree because it looks and feels way better to say that you happen to agree with the big guy rather than to say you don't want him to rob and maul you so you'll follow regardless of your own opinion.

Soft power is Japan and its anime bullcrap it sends all over the world. That basically only garners some adoration as long as the target nation allows it to because Japan submits to their game. It doesn't go far in normal circumstances and is worthless in a real conflict.

Do not be confused; the difference between hard and soft power is NOT that hard power is conducted through missiles while soft power is conducted through words. Soft power is useless. All that matters is hard power, in various violent and non-violent forms.

Not true, not that many people in the world actually believes it, most have gotten used to this war and death machine that it has become the norm. Most people just have more immediate economic interests to care about.

Something fishy is happening here. A $120 million deal is way too big for the WTA to throw away for "moral" purposes.

This is proof enough that someone is pulling strings behind all this. $120 million + the Chinese market is such a large amount of money that it would heavily support WTA and the development of the sport

Anyway, as I said, WTA should be banned. Them using a threat to somehow damage China shows that it is a hostile institution

Better to create a global south, BRI, SCO, ASEAN etc women/men tennis (and other sports) association
