That's how it works. Russia won't start a war in Baltic countries or against Poland unless it's put against a wall
*KevinSpaceyShoutingWRONG.gif*. Russia would knock the EU countries over like bowling pins without American support. With America turning more and more of its resources toward confronting China (at which America's going to fail, but that's another topic), Europe is going to be abandoned. Europe can't defend itself without America.
And Baltic states/Poland aren't pushovers.
They're the definition of pushovers.

Belarus is an independent country, Russia and Putin have nothing to do with it. It was in retaliation to the imposition of illegal sanctions on Belarus by the EU.

The only shocking behaviour is the fact they are being refused asylum at the Polish border. The refugees are Syrian and Iraqi Kurds. The EU/NATO destroyed their country with two wars. Fixing that is a EU/American responsibility.

If Belarus is an authoritarian, brutal dictatorship as then Poland is legally obliged to offer them asylum. Several Belarussian athletes have fled Belarus and applied for asylum in Poland and other eastern countries, how is this any different?

Nothing will happen to Belarus that hasn't already happened, it will be the fake countries of eastern Europe that will suffer.

This is the (un)ironic part of this whole situation. The "migrants/refugee" issue is 90% due to the NATO devastation. We saw what happened (is happening) in Libya, Gadhafi might not have been tolerant of political opposition, but he was also competent enough to provide the means to support the people. Most of the population, they only crave stability and the ability to live their daily life safely. You take that safety net away, and surprise, refugee problem.

Even if Lukashenko (or Russia) is facilitating the transport of these people to the border, he does not have the power to rip them away from their homes in the first place.

Also clever as you mention, Belarus are taking advantage of the "Safe Harbour" laws adopted by many EU countries where they are obliged to take in refugees from "dangerous" countries. If you take in Belarusian defectors, then you've basically established the precedent that Belarus is an unsafe country for all of these migrants/refugees. Whoever realized this loophole is a lawfare genius really.

I don't see why you would be suggesting that Russia has any interest in starting war. Totally agree about the Baltic states though. Laughable that someone could suggest that countries with no Air Forces or MBTs could go toe to toe with Russia.

Chad Putin disagrees with you

A Russia airborne batallion, as part of a "training exercise", was just deployed in Belurus "just kilometres from the Lithuania border" and near the Polish border.

Maybe he won't attack or maybe he will. Or maybe everything is just a diversion to attack Ukraine.

Not sure if posted already but this is a disturbing development. The Neocon/Neolib US is challenging peace in both Europe and Asia in a desperate attempt to preserve its global hegemony.

I know that Germany is a de facto US vassal state but tolerating this even as a US vassal state is insane. One would hope that Germany would have an ounce of sovereignty left to stop this dangerous escalation from happening. This challenges Russian security, German security and European security as a whole.

Europe had literally 30 years time to become an independent, integrated and responsible actor on the world stage but no, let's just remain US vassal states! These European governments rather sell out their people to a criminal neo-fascist regime that is under the belief it has a divine right to rule the world and over all of humanity forever.

Europeans should take their respective countries back from the Anglo-American imperialist yoke before there is a tragic miscalculation that will affect us all across the globe.

I do not want to rant that much but these dangerous developments in both Europe and Asia disturb me a lot. I have friends and loved ones in Germany and Russia, so I take this US provocation against peace and stability in Europe very personal. Personally, I consider Anglo-American Neocons and Neolibs to be 21st century Nazis with their supremacist and imperialist mindset, ambitions and actions in the past 20 years. I hope sanity prevails in the Neocon/Neolib US but I have my doubts after listening to US "leaders", their corporate/regime media, their "think" tanks and their twisted perception of reality.

I hope and pray for peace !

The moment you have so many troops of another nation inside your country, you immediately become a vassal/protectorate. To make it clearer, Germany does not belong to the Germans. It belongs to the US.

Same with S.Korea, same with Japan
