If you guys aren't aware the North Sea is opening up. Russia shipped the first ever LNG shipment to India via the Northern Route a few weeks ago. And now to China. Really links to climate change
There are some people (probably not that few) that are awake about the realities. With that said, they aren't really at the forefront, especially in the media/general narrative.

The most patriotic Chinese you will ever meet are those who have went on Western forums to see what they are saying about Chinese people. Before that, they are under some image that Westerners are just different people developing thier civilizations in parallel with China, often in benevolence. You'll very likely never meet a racist exposing himself in public. Guys who warmly say, "Welcome to Walmart," or "Sir, I'm your waiter today; please don't hesitate to let me know should you need anything while dining with us," or even, "We are so honored for our firm to enter the Chinese market today; cheers to a long term mutually prosperous cooperation! Gong Xi Fa Cai to all Chinese people!" you would never imagine that these seemingly kind people dream about destroying your whole race and country to prove their racial superiority over you. But on the anonymous internet, the profanity and depravity of their true character comes out. When Chinese people see from these foreign forums what these nations are really like, they will realize how stupid they look when parading thier iPhones, Gucci/Chanel, and Audi/Lamborghinis as they idolize the symbols of those who wish to subjugate them and their children. They will come to the epiphany that they must stop living life selfishly and put every ounce of power they have behind China. The power of the nation is paramount. That will be China's second wind, the afterburner, as right now, China's still on (super)cruise, which apparently is already much more than what the US can handle alone and possibly even with all the allies that it can recruit. The CCP still hides its citizens from the ugly truth of the world letting them live more happy and sunshine-filled lives but if it wants ultimate national coherence and steel solid cooperation from its citizens in areas of consumer choice and career selection, this is the monster that it can let out of the closet. The CCP can sponser and quickly grow to mainstream a show that showcases and analyzes the most insulting and chauvinistic of foriegn forums and unblock them from China's firewall so the Chinese people can see for themselves how much Westerners really hate and fear their Chinese blood.

I think people are already waking up to the realities despite the fact the CPC haven't even pressed the speeder on propaganda/media campaign on the western world.
I'm even reminded of somewhere I saw that a 'newer wave' of marxism has even sprung up amongst young people in China (also the overall trust to the chinese government has been steadily increasing over the years this decade).
Besides all of the above, there's like jokes about how chinese people comes to love China more after studying abroad (lots of things they take for granted like safety/low crime rate, infrastructure, food etc.).

I think its more like american companies in China that he is talking about? Which chinese people might associate with America even though it's not accurate lol.
