I wonder if the Japanese business class had enough of Suga's antics over China.
When the situation is all cool we can all talk though, but when the fists are raised by the giant talking though became harder and harder.
I don't think Japan is willing to sacrifice their defense force for taiwanese pineapples, they don't have that silicon shield anymore now that US is getting their semi industry. Japan knows exactly how this will end for Taiwan given their experience with the plaza accord.
I have read many Japanese comments at Japanese yahoo and Japanese websites. Surprisingly, the majority of them called for the government to be tough on China and support Taiwan more.
Internet edge lords from all countries tend to dominate comment sections. So, those people's views shouldn't be taken seriously. Once, China reaches moderate self-sufficiently in tech. There is very little that Japanese can do to hurt China. It will basically be an exercise of how much they're willing to hurt themselves.
@BlackWindMnt excellent analyst bro, and I think they had the TW commitment to build a FAB in Japan. So the hallowing out of TW tech industries had accelerated with JP, the US and EU each had their pieces of the pie! leaving out China? Well those IP will eventually reach the Chinese cause those technical personnel will find employment there instead.
Haha reminds me of this cartoon, where the imperialist are carving their share of the China pie. Now replace China with TSMC and Taiwan you have 2021 history rhyming again.
