It matters to huawei if it wants to have the highest chance of wining its own case against US government or realistically limiting its damage until the breakthrough of 100% indigenous and economically viable chip technology.
US National Security Act can be applied against Huawei regardless of what Meng admit or not. One would be naive to think that US would not seek revenge for their blunder in the Meng case.
US government had already proven that it was willing to sacrifice enormous economic losses of the Chinese market by just trying to harm Chinese companies.

LOL. Did 竹内亮 happen to be at Shenzhen Airport at that particular moment? He was saying in the video "I'm having goosebumps" (hearing people singing).
Ryo Takeuchi: I came to Shenzhen today for Huawei coverage. The moment Meng Wanzhou arrived at Shenzhen Airport, everyone started singing the national hymn. It's tremendous power.

Ryo Takeuchi - a Japanese documentary director in China tweeted about Meng's return in Shenzhe...jpg

This evening (2021/09/25), Meng Wanzhou arrived at Baoan Airport in Shenzhen, China. This news became the first hot search in China.

Good explanation of xiaomi code. Lithuania is playing politics with US media support. Won't hold up to scrutiny.

Isn't a polar route the norm in this instance? shortest distance and fastest flight time, nothing being "
avoided" here ...

Yesterday's westbound Pacific Organized Track system... so yes CA552 did take a more northerly routing.

The organized tracks would've planned for polar crossing (or at least more northerly routing) if the headwinds flying eastbound were indeed too strong to the point it would be more commercially expeditious to fly the longer way to the destination.

Western theatrics aside, the real deal happening these days is Iran's ascension as a SCO permanent member.

This is a seismic change in the Eurasian region. Iran has now firmly closed the door to the West and it is now implementing its new "Look East" geopolitical strategy.

Iran's membership will now force other Middle East countries to seriously consider SCO membership as well. SCO is quickly becoming impossible to resist in the Middle East.

Already Middle East/Arab States are dialogue/observer members.

From the overall perspective, China is demolishing US strategy. The US said "Pivot to Asia/Pacific" and China responded with "Pivot to Middle East/Eurasia". The US pretty much failed to achieve anything important in Asia except from its old puppets Japan/Australia and the Jai Hind India

While China is steamrolling any US influence resistance in Middle East.

Next step for SCO is for Russia to let go of its hesitancy and let China make a huge economic trade zone in SCO. Understandably, Russia (rightly) expects that such a development would increase China's influence in SCO while also reducing Russia's

I think China is still open to negotiations. That sentiment has been conveyed multiple times by Qin Gang and even Zhao Lijian.
Yep, but the talks require the US to meet certain China's demands such as removal of the tarriffs. As of now, the Chinese won't just talk with the US whenever the US demands them to. The China you know is of the past.

How about this article in the SCMP conveying a message that a War between China and U.S. is unlikely to happen due to the strength and respect both militaries have for each other allegedly. It seems that this kind of news has now started to trickle down after the release of Meng back to China. The cascade of seemingly positive news is almost by designed to ratchet down the Sino-US temperature that was and in my opinion is rising to a boil. Am I imagining these due to recensy bias or is this an actual trend that we're going to see moving forward.

From the article
“The [US and Chinese] crews exchange radio calls and even engage in informal conversations to kill the boredom and monotony of operations out there,” he said.
Anyone got a recording of such interactions.
