I mean, personally when I hear someone is from Shanghai I go "ugh"

So at least for some like me it's actually a mark of ... not honor

If you don't know the Chinese historical term 松江府 and why it matters, you are not qualified to talking about the history of Shanghai. If you knew what the term 松江府 means for the history of Shanghai, you are rage baiting. Either way, you should shut up.

Well in Shanghai alot of Shanghainese like to the say the Colonial Days are better because there more foreigners thus is more cosmopolitan than today.

To be fair the 2 who were first to conquer it and return to tell the tale were Sir Edmund Hilary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, who are invariably mentioned together and shared the glory.

Europeans empires were interconnected with each other but not every one is scientifically equal or equal in money management.
Putin or Russia is first time trying to break this chain of European connectivity using Arabic soft power because there is no other Soft Power that can do it.
The word 'conviction' used by FIFA President describing Russia world cup. this is that Soft Power.
