Oracle and OpenAI End Plans to Expand Flagship Data Center​

Oracle Corp. and OpenAI have scrapped plans to expand a flagship artificial intelligence data center in Texas after negotiations dragged over financing and OpenAI’s changing needs.

The collapsed talks created an opening for Meta Platforms Inc. to step in and consider leasing the planned expansion site in Abilene, Texas, from developer Crusoe, according to people familiar with the matter. Nvidia Corp., the leading AI chipmaker, helped facilitate Meta’s discussions with the developer, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks are private.

Is is this is true the United States and probably the world are in real trouble. There maybe an Apocalyptic Cult in the US government. They may think that bringing economic collapse or even nuclear war is a good thing. A hope is fake but the signs are not good.

india is a classic case of trying to play both sides and ends up with the worse of both worlds. It no longer has cheap Russian oil and now has to pay top market price and only at the behest of US approval. Furthermore, US will not invest and build up India, they were hoping for a soviet type assistance to PRC after the Korean War, but won’t even get that.

This oil prices are adjustment due to OPEC+. Saudi went beyond bench mark.
If Russia really wanted play hard ball with India than it would have closed all Air corridors in CIS as it is in conflict with Europe. Emirates several time reminded India. The presumption is that Royals want to see who goes into Europe.
