(New framing of the tariff situation?)

“Sky News host Rowan Dean has said the “bottom line” of US President Donald Trump’s 'Liberation Day' tariffs is “very simple”.

Would you rather live in a world where the leading economic power is the United States or live in a world where the leading economic power is China,” Mr Dean said.

“That’s the bottom line, that’s the simplest way of looking at it.”

(The guy frames it as CN eating the lunch, and its time for US to fix it, but he forgets that US comps profited alot from that arrangement tho, also maintains the usd power too ryt?)

(Also, seems Dutton, or the coalition party plans to put cap on foreign students visa to Aus?)

....

So on this one the title says, the "new china tariff is almost a 'declaration of war' against US"?

Many in the comments section r reacting against the title tho...

Said this earlier that this is what all these tariffs are about: China. Whites just can't live in a world where they don't completely dominate. Their refusal to accept reality is mindblowing.

It's funny how people say that China is oppressing foreign companies (some companies got out competed) when in reality China is the friendliest place to do business. China is a massive money printing machine for American companies, such as apple, tesla and nvidia, but they are still not happy with the relationship because China still has sovereignty and makes their citizens' lives better.

Fine by me to let them buy back land. CN regulators will be monitoring deals to make sure payments are fair. Just like they did with Tiktok and how they inserted themselves into Li Ka Shing's little deal that he was apparently working on for months now under the table.

US owning 100% of US land/factories/ports is not a threat. It is all about effective utilisation of land, and in fact having no foreign investors especially from China will only make US land use less efficient. Despite being the largest economy in the world, China still leases plenty of lands/assets to smaller countries. Not only does it give revenue, but it's also a way for China to share their management practices back home to the asset owners.

By being part shareholders and earning money together with efficiently used Chinese land/assets, the owners are inspired to do more deals with Chinese companies, since they know it's high reliability and potential. Of course, those countries who own those assets are also discouraged from adopting radical aggressor stances against China or stirring up too much trouble internationally... Knowing that the assets can be taken if they behave too crazily.

It is just dumb redneck mentality that all the lands/farms whatever need to be owned by red blooded American peasants. When you make the country less competitive, everyone suffers in the long run, whether rich or poor, home owners or not.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this but there was a story that this whole reciprocal tariff idea from Trump came from artificial intelligence. The whole calculus… everything. That’s why Trump put a tariff on an island inhabited only by penguins.

The question is whose AI was he using? Remember how especially Republicans were saying DeepSeek was censoring Tianammen Square meant it wasn’t true AI and no should be using it because it didn’t work? Well whose AI was Trump using. It wasn’t DeepSeek. Was it Grok? OpenAI? People were talking how Trump’s reciprocal tariff formula was crazy. And you know Trump and the Republicans wouldn’t know of that island of penguins even existed to mistakenly choose it to tariff. So who’s flawed and broken AI thought it up?
Bro, DeepSeek censored itself when I asked it for recipes using spent tea leaves. All I did was invoke a comparison to the Red Army munching on raw tea leaves during the Long March.

Ignoring everything else, its interesting how they logically quantum tunnel between "we must fight China" to "declare trade war on planet", with nobody questioning how one leads to the other.

It is interesting because, if one is capable of making these logic leaps, they can be manupliated to do anything, say with a special TikTok algorithm... e.g. We need to fight China: therefore we must sacrafice our first born. Can acrually explain alot about US behavior without modeling Trump as a literal Chinese agent.
