Koreans are arrogant, but they are going to copy China's plans of developing their economy.
Korea isn't even a real country, they're a colony without independent economic, foreign or defence policy.
Infact Korea has never not been a vassal or colony in the entirity of their history, it's so ingrained in their mentality they're the only country in history that begged to be colonized by someone new in the brief few month after WW2 when they weren't a vassal.

You have to become a real country first before you can even get to all the other reason they're not even remotely comparable to China.

On December 27, 1952, a U.S.-made F-47 fighter jet of the Nationalist forces intruded into the airspace over Xiamen, Fujian, for harassment and was shot down by our anti-aircraft artillery units. The picture shows the wreckage of the aircraft.

Hard to replicate the Chinese youth talent development system with 0.75 TFR. Granted China is going down the same demographic path so the Chinese system won’t be sustainable long term either with so much resources having to be devoted to retirement care.
The original transition of Korea to high tech has many countries helping it above all was that $3b loan to Soviet Union and they still pursuing those people.

Realistically, the question is how much of impact can government enforcement and policy have in reversing this birth rate decline.

I wonder if they will enforce family development through legal means the same way they did with population control prior to 2015.

I know we don't need to make a post of every famous sportsperson who died.

But I will make one for George Foreman. This guy really was something. In his prime he just hit so damn hard I have so clue how it happened. Was real scary when he was world champ. After he lost to Muhammad Ali he decided to quit boxing to become a priest. Then he returned in the 90s and somehow became world champ again at age 46. He also sold some grill that made him $200 mil which was more than his entire career in boxing.

Top 10 heavyweight of all time. RiP.

I guess Elon isn't building a Gigafactory in India anytime soon. There's been some talk of a reproachment between India and China. India's bad relations with China is their fault. The blatant disrespect the West has for India is the West's fault. Do we really think India has changed? They keep sucking up to the West regardless of the insults coming from them. No more Gigafactory talk so most likely India is angling to get China to transfer its technology to India and that's how they'll keep pace with the technology trends of the world. And we all know how India loves to insert themselves as a player in anything seen as important technology in world. If India is the next China in anything, it's to the West another country trying displace them like China has. Really should the West be so comfortable when India has videos on YouTube having Westerners playing servant to them in a utopian Indian future?

Yes the US's new strategy to counter China in the world. Telling other countries what they can buy. Force the world to buy their more expensive ships. That's what Trump and Republicans seem to think they can do. Remember one time Trump seem to think China selling things to Chinese in China was also under US tariffs hence he answered how the US was going to get rich from tariffs which one must conclude that he believes China selling anything to anyone else in the world also had to pay US tariffs.

Birth rate decline is almost entirely due to time cost of expected quality of life, its how much time you need to work to obtain the lifestyle you desire.

Thats to say simply making more money isnt enough, and having more free time doesnt either. Birth rate used to be high because people had lower expectations and didnt need to work as much to achieve that lower expectation, now people either need to work long hours, or doesnt make enough with hours worked.

All of which are the core problem China's "overcapacity" and massive robot deploymemt is intended to address. People always ask what do you do if robots took all the jobs, but thats implictly assuming a corporate run society, the real answer to that question is robots provide the abundance needed for people to work less while still making enough to meet their expectations, robots decrease the time cost of expectations and this is what will solve demographic problems
