The usual suspects trying to overthrow Serbian government again, I'm a little worried. Can any Serbian fill in on how the situation is going?
Yeah, this is getting serious, I don't remember protests this big in decades. I pray nothing happens and they die down soon.
I just cope by thinking that at least the West is pretty divided and weaker, and not all of them want to overthrow Vucic. Comparing it to Milosevic time.
Also, Vucic constantly invested in security forces through a much stronger budget, so they are decently loyal I think. This is also different from that time.
The regime is also not using more force on them to not galvanize them further, which I don't know is good or bad.
Moreover, this is tied to what's also recently happening in the Serb Republic, I can't help but this is a coordinated attack on us.
The thing is that a majority of these protesters are actually ultra-Serbian nationalists and they actually call Vucic a "traitor".
But they are just useful tools for the West. Basically they are too dumb to realise that what Vucic has been doing is the best we can get a nation in this position.
Other "concerns" these protesters have are standard low IQ nonsense like muh CoRruPtIoN and DiCtAtOr bla bla.
Also, it took around 5 times more people to overthrow Milosevic, and they were much more violent and sudden in nature, whereas the current ones are led by moderately disruptive students for months.
I’m not aware of what the protestors actually want but I am fairly sure that the EU actually supports Vucic, which is why the protests are not covered
No, the EU largely hates Vucic and they are paying for and helping organize these protests directly. They are also over-covering them.
Orban, Fico, and similar, as well as Trump's administration in the US, are the only ones that actually support Vucic in the West right now.
