He didn't drink poison and kill him self. Disappointed.
The tweet that you posted has below context. it is to increase that engagement with Saudis. that increase engagement itself has a value.
Now I get it, it seems that Putin might get much more than I thought. Russia already has tons of these resources, they don't need it.
Essentially get 4 'oblasts' and Crimea they control fully annexed directly and formally recognized with Ukraine withdrawing from what they now hold there too (for Russia to stop the war), and the rest of Ukraine stays as a Russian proxy through new 'elections' (for minerals).
Trump gets the face through these minerals and resources from the rest of the Ukraine, since that's all he cares about. They could recoup the losses somewhat in that way they think. Also, all sanctions lifted and funds returned to Russians, the EU will gradually fall in line too.
For Trump, this is mostly political. I don't think they realistically believe that they can get any strategic partnerships regarding China now.
In the meantime, UN peacekeepers, Ukraine's total 100% demilitarization, and demoralization, with no Europeans involved in anything.
No NATO, no Western troops, Zelensky and other current leaders either eliminated, in jail, or in escape, a new administration comes.
Russia's buildup, for a few years, until finally taking the rest too easy as the US collapses during a Taiwan confrontation against China.
Then they also take the rest of Ukraine, which would now be much easier to conquer & assimilate and divide it with neighbors like Poland.
The UN peacekeepers can't do anything, they do not fight, the US would have collapsed when China took Taiwan, alongside the EU.
Edit: For those who didn't get it, the war obviously still continues now until the remaining Western resources are depleted since there won't be any/many new ones coming, Zelensky gets couped in some way, and Russia advances in the remaining small parts of 4 'oblasts' easily next.
Putin calls for Russian-US-Saudi talks on energy
“I still remember the telephone conversation between the three of us: your humble servant, US
President Trump and the king of Saudi Arabia,” Putin told reporters on Wednesday in comments broadcast by state television channel Rossiya 24. “The three of us spoke on the phone, and discussed the global energy market. Discussing these issues in this way is still in demand today

Luigi Mangione, the UnitedHealthcare’s CEO last year, appeared for a largely procedural court hearing Friday amid a groundswell of support from fans who braved the harsh New York City cold and lined up for hours outside the courtroom, some bedecked in “Free Luigi” apparel.
One attendee told CNN she’d arrived at the courthouse at 5 a.m. ET, hoping to witness the brief court proceedings in person. Others waved signs reading “Free Luigi” and “Healthcare is a Human Right.” Posters of the leaders of other major health care corporations appeared nearby the court, with the word “WANTED” emblazoned above a picture of each executive.
The federal criminal complaint charges Mangione with murder through use of a firearm, two stalking charges and a firearms offense. His next court hearing for the federal charges is scheduled for March 19, according to his attorneys.
Writings laid bare in a notebook found in Mangione’s possession, authorities said, helped investigators build the federal case against him, a well-planned homicide involving stalking the movements of his alleged victim.
Top allies of President Donald Trump are in an escalating clash with the Republican Party’s once-powerful defense hawks, viewing them as key obstacles standing in the way of a thorough remaking of U.S. foreign policy that would realign the world order with Trump’s America First vision.
Vice President JD Vance and several administration officials who are close to Donald Trump Jr. have been central to the effort to sideline those with traditional conservative foreign policy views, which has accelerated over the past week.
Their targets have included a well-known Trump ally, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), who has raised concerns about the nominee for a top Defense Department post, and the administration’s own special envoy on the Russia-Ukraine war, former Gen. Keith Kellogg, who is being undermined in Washington as he meets this week with top Ukrainian officials in Kyiv.
Given their past lives as Russia hawks, Trump’s own secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and national security adviser, Michael Waltz, are under intense internal scrutiny inside a White House where deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller and Sergio Gor, who oversees personnel decisions, have shown little tolerance for anyone who diverges from the MAGA mindset.
Underpinning all of it is Trump’s foreign policy mindset that elevates his personal relationships with leaders of rival superpowers, and the use of American threats to push allies and adversaries to buckle to American power, over the traditional alliances based on long-term cooperation and democratic governance. That has emboldened Vance and others to send a clear message to the world that Republican foreign policy as they have known it is dead — and they’re not sorry about it.
But the past week represents an escalation of the effort to cement a new chapter in U.S. foreign policy as Trump moves quickly to make good on his promise of quickly ending the war in Ukraine and to normalize relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a dictator whose strength he has long admired.
Back on Capitol Hill this week, the White House pressure has come down on Cotton, the newest member of GOP leadership and chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Now the dispute appears likely to get settled quietly and on the White House’s terms. Cotton is set to in the coming days, with Cotton seeking assurance that Colby doesn’t support a nuclear-armed Iran before publicly backing his nomination.
