In Europe, the United States is abandoning traditional allies.

What about Asia-Pacific?

The Chinese want to find out
That's it

More than sending a message to Australia, this is the most fundamental aspect

China Is asking a question to the US. Are you committed to the Asia Pacific. So far I have seen no answer by the US. No answer is an answer by itself, and I suspect the message has also passed through to Australia and NZ.

Awkward moment of reckoning has finally come to the Anglos in down under

"[...]An explosive succession trial and an astonishing interview with one of Rupert’s sons have exposed the paranoia and hatred at the heart of global media’s most powerful family.

. The mogul’s four eldest children – Lachlan, James, Elisabeth and Prudence – were set to inherit the family firm following Rupert’s death. But four years ago, just after turning 90, Rupert had tried to cut James, Liz and Prue out of their inheritance and hand the businesses over to Lachlan, his favoured heir who also happens to share his increasingly right-wing politics.

The lawsuit was brought by the three errant offspring, and in December a Nevada commissioner ruled in their favour, accusing Rupert and Lachlan of acting in “bad faith”. The trial took place in secret, but the fallout – thanks to the New York Times investigation and a 13,000-word Atlantic interview with James – has been anything but.[...]

The fallout from this family saga will not just be felt by Rupert’s six children (two by his

You know your anti-China plan is seriously hopeless when even Gordon Chang says it wouldn't work.

For years, the running joke was that Gordon Chang was secretly a CCP agent dedicated to convincing the American public that China is on the verge of collapse any day, if not any minute now, economically and/or otherwise . . .

Looks like he might really, in fact be a true believer, or is Comrade Gordon looking to thoroughly ingratiate himself with President Trump: perhaps so consul Trump will nominate him for the position of ambassador and plenipotentiary to Beijing or some other salient-ish role?! :p

Comrade Gordon isn't wrong: President Trump is going to have a thoroughly tough, if not impossible time turning or otherwise flipping Russia against China.

Russia can't safely turn on China unless the two can be economically decoupled, and that's not going to happen unless both Uncle Sam and his (perhaps soon to be former) European protectorates not only drop sanctions against Russia sooner than later and in full, but also convince domestic blue chips to willingly dig deep into the Russian economy to push out the Chinese.

Good luck with all that considering both the political atmosphere in the EU and the composition of Congress.

Many conflicting rumours, but my gut feeling is a no. Too much domestic opposition within the US. A Beijing summit in Sept however ;)
Trump's loss if he doesn't come to Red Square then, it will just be the old (ex)socialist club in that case:

U.S. Pushes Kyiv to Kill Its U.N. Resolution Marking War’s Anniversary

In a new rift, Washington and Kyiv pitch competing texts, with Europe backing Ukraine and the U.S. refusing to blame Russia for the war

The diplomatic rift between the Trump administration and Ukraine over Russia’s invasion escalated Saturday after the U.S. pushed to kill a United Nations resolution that Ukraine had crafted with European support marking the war’s third anniversary. Instead, the U.S. submitted its own draft resolution.

The clash pits the U.S. and Russia on one side against Ukraine and Europe on the other, in the most dramatic display of trans-Atlantic tensions in years.

In a note to capitals, seen by The Wall Street Journal, U.S. diplomats told European counterparts over the past day that Washington would oppose the Ukrainian resolution if it advances and pressed the Europeans to persuade Kyiv to withdraw its text.
A senior Trump administration official denied that the U.S. resolution was tilted in Moscow’s favor, saying the goal was to encourage a peace settlement as soon as possible. “The American resolution is a new way forward,” said the official. “Our proposal is simple and speaks to the U.N.’s original charter. Peace is possible. That has to be the focus.”

The U.S., Russia, Britain, France and China hold veto power in the Security Council, the U.N.’s top decision-making body, so they can block action there. The General Assembly represents all U.N. member states and its resolutions can’t be vetoed but are nonbinding.
Russia for the past three years has blocked proposed Security Council resolutions backing Ukraine. The General Assembly has overwhelmingly approved resolutions condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on previous anniversaries of the start of the war.

The U.S. draft could go for a Security Council vote on Monday, the war’s third anniversary. Both the U.S. and the Ukrainian resolutions could be presented for votes in the General Assembly, the diplomats said.
The U.S. draft, a three-paragraph statement, says it “implores a swift end” to the conflict and mourns “the tragic loss of life throughout the Russian Federation-Ukraine conflict.” It has one co-sponsor: the government of Georgia, whose ties with Moscow have thawed recently.

A Russian amendment to the text suggests the U.S. add that a solution to the war should include addressing the “root causes” of the conflict, language Russia uses to refer to NATO’s expansion into Eastern Europe after the Cold War. The amendment hasn’t been accepted, the European diplomats said.
Washington’s diplomatic moves set up a major test for Britain and France because of their Security Council veto power. Next week, both French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are due at the White House to discuss the Ukraine conflict and other issues with President Trump.

Both plan to advocate continued U.S. support for Ukraine, including some form of backup from Washington if France and Britain put troops into Ukraine as part of a peace deal.

Unrivalled' Fighters Join Russian Air Force

In addition to all this, the Su-57 has the capabilities of the next sixth generation fighter, and can lead a group of combat drones. It is likely to be made into an autonomous drone. The new engine will enable it to fly at speeds far beyond the speed of sound without additional effort for a long time. With the receipt of more Su-57s, the Russian Air Force will be able to penetrate enemy air defenses and destroy their fighters at a great
