Reading the actual terms (if this is real) make it even worst. The article was posted by telegraph 1-2 hours ago so those documents might be real.

They will lose legal sovereignty of the Ukrainian state alongside resource sovereignty. Subjected to US laws. Modern day British Raj as Americana Slava

Anything of economic value associated with resources will be controlled by the US. Power plants, ports, airports, refineries, factories, farms, etc for an infinite period of time.

Russia wouldn't even agree to this. For Russia, it should be clear that there is no more will or way for the Ukrainians to fight, so just refuse all deals, press forward, and it will all belong to Russia. Russians get stronger and the NATO/Ukraine side weakens the more things drag on; it makes no sense for them to make any deal when they are just taking everything.

Looks like we all jumped the gun when we said there were no applicable lessons in Ukraine that Taiwan could learn. I hope the Wanwans are paying attention to America's protocols for killing its dogs for meat when they come back mauled and limping after being sent to fight much larger beasts. Uncle Sam doesn't exactly bother with the anesthesia or humane killing methods if you know what I mean.

I think that is Trump plan in case negotiations fail, in order for the US to continue to support Ukraine they will literally would have to become a US colony. So is either accept their losses or give what if left of their country to the US.

IMO it's a bad deal if:
  • There is a way for Ukraine to rearm. Reddest of all flags
  • Sanctions not fully lifted (quickly get back frozen reserves and offload them)
  • Any European/NATO peacekeepers
  • Any pathway to NATO, EU or whatever similar for Ukraine
  • Russia not getting all "officially" annexed regions

Tbh it doesn't make sense for Putin to agree to anything now. However that also depends on domestic affairs (economic situation). Should stall for a bit and meanwhile keep pushing on the battlefield and maybe he can "officially" annex another region

Not to mention that Ukrainians are white while they are physically indistinguishable from Chinese people (because that’s what they are).

That was my thought as well, make it so egregiously awful for both Europe and Ukraine so that they would work out a deal with Russia themselves without the US's involvement. And I think this current administration is counting on both Ukraine and Europe will have short enough memory and too-empty treasuries after armistices to hold grudges and will come limping back to the US again shortly thereafter (at least within 2 years). If this does work, then it would be the US's version of "do nothing and call it a win".
