Well you can go the same way South Vietnam did. Because Ukraine pushing their own terms on the table means nothing happens.
Reminds me of two Korean leaders advocating for reunification at all cost, refusing to sign the armistice for Korean war. Same Koreans, different masters.

Cheap and Western are a contradiction in terms in every bad way. That’s why the West is in trouble these days. The West may have money but what can you get with it if everything costs more for them. That’s why it’s a joke that the West has to find alternative supply chains from China. Normally when you need to find alternatives, it’s because the primary is taking advantage and gouging the price. With China everything is cheaper. You have Americans thinking the solution is as simple as paying American workers more. But that raises prices too. Look at that never ending cycle. That’s why China doesn’t have to worry about the US and the West. They’re never going to be able to make it cheaper.

Yeah, I've been observing the collapse intensely and it truly seems that no matter what the US tries to do nowadays it always practically ends up in failure like the Gordian knot (anything in terms of building back their own internal capability or narrowing distance with China). Just like in many similar end-stage collapses of empires in history.

At this point, to me, the most logical outcome is that they decide simply to give it one final go that they have yet not tried, and provoke China directly into a hot war around Taiwan in this presidency (quite easy to do actually, not very unrealistic scenario).
And it seems like they are moving toward that direction, just look at the stupidity the Taiwanese are doing, trading away their security guarantee, 2027 is the target date and you can see the immense pressure Taiwan is getting as the US try to harvest her tech before the fall.
