Knowing Canadians he's probably thinking Canada should flog itself regardless of pain in an order to prove its loyalty to America, e.g. cutting all trade with China.

Canada has much to learn from others who survived against great odds. They had an easy ride in the past but that is over. Fear not, there are friends that will rebuild them bigger and better.

Israel likely to strike Iran in coming months, warns U.S. intelligence

A preemptive attack would set back Iran’s nuclear program by mere weeks or months but significantly escalate tensions across the Middle East, according to a U.S. intelligence report.

Israel is likely to attempt a strike on Iran’s nuclear program in the coming months in a preemptive attack that would set back Tehran’s program by weeks or perhaps months but escalate tensions across the Middle East and renew the prospect of a wider regional conflagration, according to U.S. intelligence.

The warnings about a potential Israeli strike are included in multiple intelligence reports spanning the end of the Biden administration and the beginning of the Trump administration, none more comprehensive than an early January report produced by the intelligence directorate of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Defense Intelligence Agency.
The report warned that Israel is likely to attempt a strike on

in the first six months of 2025. Current and former U.S. officials familiar with the intelligence told The Washington Post that the finding derives from an analysis of Israel’s planning following its

in late October, which degraded its air defenses and left Tehran exposed to a follow-on assault. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss highly classified intelligence.

The military intelligence report spelled out two potential strike options, each involving the United States providing support in the form of aerial refueling as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, said those familiar with the document. Such reliance on the United States in any strike on Iran — even one that yields only modest results — underscores Washington’s leverage over Israel’s path forward.

Iran is going to get humiliated again.

It's a dangerous time for China from now...if the pattern, state of temperance and tendency of US politicians across the board are of any indications... US is now solely focusing on bringing down China, as a nation, through any means possible.

Correct. Russian hawks are gone and replaced by China hawks. Their entire focus is on China. The China hawks want their proxy war against China like what Russia hawks did with Ukraine. All the moves made are moving chess pieces for a clash with China. They didn’t become peaceful people by wanting to end the Ukraine war, they just disagree on the opponent.

The State Department’s procurement forecast, revised as of late December 2024, lists Tesla as the recipient of the largest expected contract, with Marco Rubio’s department planning to buy $400,000,000 worth of “Armored Tesla.”

The award is targeted for Q4, and is forecast to last for five years.

The procurement forecast is listed as having been modified on December 13, 2024, a month after Donald Trump’s election. The State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Under the heading, "extent competed," the document reads merely "TBD."

Well, that sucks. Hopefully such news will lead to mass boycott of Tesla in China.

Zhang Yazhou was sitting in the passenger seat of her Tesla Model 3 when she said she heard her father’s panicked voice: The brakes don’t work! Approaching a red light, her father swerved around two cars before plowing into an SUV and a sedan and crashing into a large concrete barrier.

Stunned, Zhang gazed at the deflating airbag in front of her. She could never have imagined what was to come: Tesla sued her for defamation for complaining publicly about the car’s brakes — and won.

A Chinese court ordered Zhang to pay more than $23,000 in damages and publicly apologize to the $1.1 trillion company.
