"Ontario Premier Doug Ford said on Tuesday that he was concerned about China shipping "cheap steel and cheap aluminum" that could "undermine" Canadian and U.S. jobs amid U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs threats.
Ford was at the Washington Conrad Hotel in Washington D.C. where he said he was "working the room" talking to American colleagues while trying to deal with the tariff threat.
"Everything is on the table," Ford said about potential retaliation to Trump's tariffs after the U.S. president announced 25 per cent tariffs on steel and aluminum.
"Believe me, there will be retaliation," Ford said before adding "but that's the last thing we want." "
